But, a boy child being raised by a mom and gran is a problem. Didn't realize till my 30s that I wasn't carrying myself the way a man "ought to" and it affected my personal and professional relationships. I know better now of course but, damage is done.

Life was never easy on both my sister and I regarding our dad, but old man tried his best. Only today it dawns on me that he did what he did for us financially & physically but emotionally we still struggle a lot. I’m grateful he is around though, he did what he thought was best. He dotes on my daughter which tells me that he recognized his mistakes.
