I think yaha product mean method isiliye use kiya kyuki mean decimals mai aa raha tha toh actual mean method use hoga nhi but assumed mean bhi isiliye use nhi kiya kyuki x aur y ki values bohot choti thi whereas assumed mean hamesha jab x aur y ki bohot badi values hoti hai tab use hota hai dx aur dy nikal kar unko chota karne ke liye jisse formula mai values rakhna easy ho jaye.

First check given X and Y values in question
next find mean of "X or Y" (sum of X values divided by N)
mean answer is without point, so formula apply "ACTUAL MEAN"
or
mean answer in point, so formula apply "ASSUMED MEAN"
And the "product moment method" is based on the question
(check X and Y values) and (check N is around 4,5,6)
