Greetings from Scotland! You have never heard such a voice and probably never will (with anyone else) again! Diana was born with a spectacular larynx and pharynx, plus a large vocal cavity and great nasal resonators! A one-of-a-kind human being! Please read her extremely sad and extremely inspiring story in Wikipedia. 3yo, abandoned in a street by her birth mother, half drowned and with a broken collarbone. Placed in an orphanage. Found and adopted at around 4½yo but barely able to speak due to trauma. Took singing lessons to improve, then at 6yo, appearing on stage singing solo! Diana said she always had hope and never gave in, always felt she had a purpose. My God, she had a purpose - as a phenomenal singe, like the world has never seen, or will ever see again! Great reaction to Diana I am happy to still see new people being introduced to her music this is what I have learned over the past couple of years about Diana yes she is a contralto she has the ability to use polyphonic overtones also binural sounds in her singing which to my knowledge is the first time I have ever heard anyone use she was 15 in this performance she has a very large catalog since she started singing at 4 1/2 to help with delayed speech and speech impediments (stuttering) her nicknames range from the Queen of goosebumps to shamanistic siren or sorceress depending on what you would like to hear in her voice at any given time her catalog has it all from at home during lockdown to small venue concerts to the TV shows that she has been on and won she has even sang at the Kremlin she has performed in different countries as well she sings in different languages english russian arabic french spanish her best performances in my opinion are Rechnka which she performed at 14 (russian folk song) on the same show you just reacted to and another great one is her 2 originals "Side by Side" a duet with Brandon Stone who you will see she is connected to alot in her newer performances he also wrote the song "Closest Soul" (an ode to her now mother) with sand art video the other things Ican tell you about Diana is her life story is sad early in her young life and she was adopted and is now showing her full potential she goes to school at the best performing arts and Music school in Russia she just started her 2nd year the last thing I will tell you about her is that she lives her songs she is an empath and feels in a different way than most so she precieves the lyrics differently than most ok that is alot and should tell you everything you need to know about her if you wanted to look her up and read her back story and more about her achievements on wikipedia

Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan who was abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother at age 3. Because of this beginning, she had speech problems and was given singing lessons to help improve her speech. Her talent was quickly recognized and the rest is history.

I think you are the only English speaking person who got the pronunciation of Diana's name correct. 😄
Here are three reasons why Diana doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in seven billion.
It is amazing, that you pronounced "Diana Ankudinova" perfectly. Not many English speakers can do it. Congrats! Yes, Diana (aka "Queen of Goosebumps") has a unique voice. By the way, your just one of a few western people to pronounce Diana's name correctly. Only the tip of the iceberg you have seen so far. I can't help falling in love ......is an emotional experience. A Tommy Profitt dark cover composed in F Minor Harmonic. The opening video shot is achieved by using a mirrored reflection and with the score, sets us up for a completely different meaning and possibilities of what love can be to someone. The ability Diana has to express and emote the essence of the song towards the audience is Art in its highest form. If there is an international award for a Grammy, this performance by Diana should be awarded, it's that special. Most are amazed by her vocal performance, almost 3 octaves . To continue with Diana, I recommend a very special video for one of the next reactions for several reasons:
1. You can see where Diana is from as an artist and learn a lot about the vocal and performance abilities, and the versatility of the younger Diana. She is only 13 years old there.

But your pronunciation was actually pretty good.
3. Diana performs 2 songs here: "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien" (most famous by Edith Piaf) and "Jodel Time" (original from "Oesch's die Dritten "). She sings in different languages and songs from different genres.
4. In my opinion it's the very best video of this "Karaoke Club" performance as it doesn't get cut off in a very clumsy way at the end. The most used link from "moody brain" is cut off too short. (By the way: Diana performed "Jodel Time" as an audition song at "The Voice Kids Russia 2017" a few days later in February 2017. The original video of it has over 20 million views on CZcams. But this video is blocked - at least in parts of the world due to the political circumstances.)
Anyway, I think it's even better how Diana acts here in this particular performance as a sort of dress rehearsal. In this "Karaoke Club" performance she seems more relaxed, carefree, free, just full of energy with great vocals and stage performance.
Overall I think this is a very, very entertaining and joyful performance from Diana. Believe me you won't regret it. It's excellent.

She also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her general range is C3-C7, the main working C3-C6) and her voice sometimes has polyphonic overtones. Here, in 2019 Diana sang this song in the singing competition 'You are super' (she was 15 years old). This competition is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children.
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to CZcams and soon she had millions of fans. She called us Friends.

As you may or may not know, Diana Ankudinova was only 15 when this performance took place. This cover of Chris Isaak’s classic "Wicked Game", really does demonstrate that Diana Ankudinova has a true contralto sound, which is a very rare female voice type. In particular, the tone quality, timbre, roundness, fullness, and depth of Diana's sound, plus her full resonance further define her as a "dramatic contralto", which is the rarest of the rare contralto voice types and for someone as young as Diana to already demonstrate these abilities is extraordinary! Also, Diana was not happy with her higher vocal range so she really concentrated on improving it which can be heard when you listen to her cover of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis Presley.
Also, Diana is a polyphonic singer which in itself is an extremely rare talent for someone so young to have mastered. Polyphonic singing is a vocal technique that creates two, sometimes three different tones at the same time which makes it sound like two different voices at the same time. This polyphonic sound is why some people think she is using a voice synthesizer to manipulate her sound, or there's another voice singing with her off stage, or she lip syncing over a prerecorded track. There is no electronic voice manipulation going on at all, what you are hearing is all Diana Ankudinova.
To get an idea of Diana's vocal progression until now, I recommend you listen to these other live competition performances. There are a lot of other live performances, some are competitions and others are public concert performances. I think those listed below are the best representation to show her vocal progression and I would recommend them in the following order:
Diana was 14 when the following was recorded live during the 2018 season of “You Are Super”, a vocal competition for teens and she won this competition by singing "Rechen'ka", a Russian folk song sung in Russian, and "Dernière Danse", a cover of a song by the French singer Indila and Diana sings it in French. The following year when Diana was 15 she was recorded live during the 2019 season of “You Are Super” and again she won this competition with her version of "Wicked Game" a cover in English of the Chris Isaak classic "Wicked Game" "Human" a Rag'n'Bone Man cover in English and “Blizzard” a contemporary Russian song sung in Russian.
Diana was 18 when she again performed live, "Can't Help Falling in Love" an Elvis Presley classic cover sung in English. And after listening to the above, listen again to “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and her vocal progression becomes obvious.

One small disappointment you didn't mention Diana's age, I think she was only about 16 when she appeared on this Russian talent program. Her style and abilities really belie her age, she's so mature and sophisticated in her performance, it's really remarkable!
A side-note: do you know about Igor Krutoy? (The 4th judge to vote?)
I highly recommend checking out her performance of Rechenka. She's not a native English speaker (not sure if she actually speaks it at all) and her English diction isn't great, which I find distracting in Can't Help Falling in Love, but in Rechenka she's singing in her native language. I also think it's overall a more interesting song.
