I did this upgrade from an 11 to 14 Pro and honestly I think it’s more than worth it! The beautiful OLED, the 120hz, being more fast, better battery and camera, it’s just an overall much better experience and hard to go back to LCD with 60hz. Glad I made the upgrade!

@@samantha4822 The phone itself is slightlyyy smaller barely by a hair but the display of the screen itself is bigger due to less bezels and the dynamic island. Also the phone does NOT feel heavier than the 11 like other people would say. It feels the same from my personal experience.
So me personally everything feels like a great upgrade.
Buying one this weekend , this review sealed the deal for me.

A huge huge money difference for things a casual, daily user won't notice or use. Of course the OLED screen is better than the LCD and the battery lasts longer, but I don't think that it's worth all that money when you can get the 90% of the features in iPhone 11. This is my opinion obviously.

Literally just bought the iPhone 11 a week before the 14’s were released and I’m not even mad. The iPhone 11 is a perfect phone for a very nice price.
I have iPhone 11 since 2 years. I never seen an uncertainty, never lag and battery is still powerful. And then with ios 16 all run very good!

I’ve had the 11 since it first came out and it’s interesting how this phone still feels pretty new. Really the only depletion of performance I’ve had is my battery doesn’t hold charge as well.
It’s crazy how 3 years ago there was noticeable performance drop from a new iPhone 11 to like a 7, but that gap has shrunk so significantly that an 11 is still holding punches to a 14 pro.
That’s why you buy an iPhone, they are the best “future proof” phones you can buy. Change the battery @ 2 years for $69 and rock on.

I upgraded from an 11 to an iPhone 14 pro 128gb in gold. My iPhone 11 was heating up and wouldn’t hold a charge. You would think going from an iPhone 11 to an iPhone 14 pro wouldn’t be that big of an upgrade but let me tell you it is! The cameras are way better the design In my personal opinion is way better. The display performance and battery are also wayy better.
The price difference is absolutely worth it. The cameras, screen and build quality are all twice as good at least and you get fresh cycle of updates vs 3 years behind with the 11. Plenty of trade in deals to get the 14 Pro for way less as well. It’s definitely worth the upgrade. My wife has an 11 and I have a 13 Pro and even that feels like a big step up. I’ll be upgrading her to a 14 Pro next month.
if only I didn't live in Italy where they value my 11 at 200$...

I upgraded from the 11 to the iPhone 14 pro. I really wanted that AOD (always on display) yeah, I loved the iPhone 11 when I had it but thr battery drainage was getting worse and worse and worse. One of my brothers upgraded to the ordinary 14 while my other brother upgraded the iPhone 13. I’m also a sucker for the cut out design, I believe it looks futuristic. The other reason why I upgraded is the support of the iPhone 11 won’t last as long as the 14 pro and so I felt like it was the perfect time to upgrade.

Pretty interesting comparison. Kind of thought the 14 Pro would blow it away, but it really didn't. Even though I do prefer Oled to LCD, there is no way I can justify in my mind paying that much more money for a phone like the 14 Pro. And I actually prefer the notch on the IPhone 11, although I'd prefer neither.

Good review! Thanks. Wondering why did you compare the 11 to the 14 Pro? Would it be a better comparison between the 11 Pro and the 14 Pro? Maybe it would not make a difference. I upgraded to the 14 Pro from the 11 Pro due to the great offer on trade in for the 11 Pro. The improved performance and potentially enhanced reliability due to a new phone is a bonus.

I'm watching this video in September 2022, when the iPhone 12 already costs $599. And I think it's time for me to upgrade to the 12 from my SE 1st gen. My mom has XR and I really don't like its huge bezels and weight. It's a brick to me. The 12 feels so much more elegant.

Speaker comperison
As a budgeting concern, I went with an 11 two months after the 13 was released. However, the battery life with IOS 16 poor. Just traded our XR for a 13; no comparison between these two.
Even the non-pro 14 presents a large increase in camera performance over the 11, along with 5G and a better screen. Unless you’re getting an 11 for $300 or so… I would admit that it’s now the minimum acceptable iPhone for iOS 16.
Also, you can get a 14plus for nearly the same weight as an 11.

I have the 11 since it came out and still a good phone and i don’t feel it slow yet even though it had updated from ios 13 to ios 14, ios 15 and ios 16.
But in my opinion I don’t recommend anyone buying it nowadays because of the display, it have 2 or 3 years more of update support, and overall the design even tho is beautiful is feeling obsolete next to the newer iPhones.
If you don’t want to spend a lot of money buying a good iPhone just spend a little more and get the 12.
That is my advice and i still use the 11.
For sure. I didn’t plan to get a new phone until 2-3 years from now when they drop support for the 11, but I bit the bullet and got the 14 pro for the camera

Something to consider... it looks like for allot of carriers, you can get up to $400 for a good used iPhone 11, to use towards a newer iPhone.

value for money is not important as long as the user gets a way better experience, which make them think it is worth its price. like sure you can always buy things that are “good enough” but if you want premium quality you pay premium price, its the 10% which makes it different.
also i would never say the 11 is 90% 14 pro, the difference is pretty big.

You don’t think the speakers are much better in the iPhone 14 Pro? My iPhone 13 Pro Max speakers are a LOT louder than my iPhone 11 and XR speakers. The bass is a LOT thumpier.

I’m using iPhone 11 for two years exactly. Very happy except the low light photography. Only reason I would want the 14 Pro is because of the photo quality. But I’m not sure good much better it is in 14 Pro.
