The multi tool does more than just sand . If ur on a budget it’s the better tool to have

I've got both an 18V random orbit sander (other brand) and the M12 fuel oscillating multi tool. They both serve different purposes but they serve them well. Personally if I had to shoose only one it would be the random orbit sander, it's just the better all-around tool. But the multi tool with the sanding attachments comes handy for finishing and/or going through tight spots.

I love this orbital sander! Unlike the oscillating tool that only sands on the tips and edges, the head has no dead spots. Also like the speed adjustment, very smooth and great range of speeds. All tools should have this trigger. The oscillating tool is good for flush cutting, drywall cutting and maybe tile grout. Not sanding.

The price for the bare tool detail/oscillating sander in Canada is $199!But considering the work quality it will provide,it does seem to be a great tool. Thanks for the review.

I found the paper on the multi tool slips and moves to the side and also chews out the velcro backing. Hoping the orbital sander is way better

Just wondering whether you can change the backing pads from the oscillating, multi tool to Random orbital sander, reason why I asked is the pads on oscillating multi tool are cheap, and ready available, then been locked in to Milwaukee's overpriced sanding pads.

They should work I don’t see why just the shape is gonna be a little different…

Bro just buy hook and loop sandpaper and cut to size
Check out pro tool reviews video on the m12 detail sander and jump to 14:20 he shows you how to cut sandpaper to fit the tool.

Where you're really going to see the difference is when you apply stain

Your incorrect the larger the amp hr is the stringer the tool runs.
