idk, Konami knows these games will flop, the only thing to ensure sales is to begin with the most acclaimed titles such as silent hill 2 and mgs3 otherwise the idea of remaking everything will fail, just look at the dead space remake.. though it was fun it wasn't as big as re4r, killing the hopes for future remakes

For me this is a REAL down to the core REMAKE and how it is supposed to be. No changes to the story, dialogs or even the cinematics. Everything is same to the bone and the only thing is the change in graphics, this looks almost like a CGI movie, what a jump in visuals, it's insane.

I was aware about the franchise, the memes about them, and Hideo as a name since 2009 but never played any of the games. I first played MGS3 in 2021 on PS3 as part of the Legacy Collection which it was super hard to find brand new and it wasn't cheap. Anyway i Googled how to play them canonically and played them all including MGS V for PS5 through backwards compatibility. Tbh I'm not a fan of the top down camera in the first games at all. Overall they're one of the best games out there and i can see why it people like it and left a mark for future games. But MGS3 made me tear up, have goosebumps in many moments, the story, everything. It was one of the very very few games out there that made me very emotionally hooked. Part of it was the camera system cause i liked very much the 3rd person view. I can't forget the first time i played it. Only 3 was the only one that made me so emotionally attached to the story, the characters to a huge level. Perhaps if i played them when they were released i could have had different opinion. Now i get it why Hideo is such a big name. Many are calling Death Stranding a walking simulator with ads. I dunno i haven't played it cause I'm not a fan of open worlds...except some special exceptions.

1:40 If you notice the bridge scene, the remake shows downgrade in physics, the bridge is static as hell, while the old version the bridge responds to the character hanging. ps: still the remake is really impressive

That might be an improvement through a different perspective, as having the bridge shake like that could alert the enemy of your presence, so having it stay still might have been a creative choice to help sell the idea of Snake being completely undetectable. Besides, if you look closely, it does actually shake, just less than the original and harder to detect but it does shake.
Quite the opposite, in the remake it's exactly as it should be, in the original the bridge sways too much, unrealistically, that one man can sway the bridge so much with his weight, as if it weighs a thousand kilograms. If you noticed in the remake, the bridge moves slightly, more precisely the planks on the bridge.
First thing i noticed. I'd imagine kojima would question that if he's the lead or something. Not trying to nitpick, its just metal gear is the pinnacle when it comes to details and depth. Spent hours on mgs2 watching the ice melts 😂

es un remake, el remaster solo mejora aspectos gráficos, un remake opta por agregar mecánicas nuevas,nuevo motor gráfico como en este caso, y aunque muchas partes sean parecidas al original pueden cambiar o agregar cosas a la historia

I don't think the developers have done a bad job in remaking the game in a realistic style - and for some people this might be exactly what they need. I do think the original visuals just straight up look better though. I don't think this remake is for me.

Glad they're ditching the green filter, so many games back in the day used some pretty intensive filters that kinda feel ugly. Resident Evil 5 also comes to mind.
I know what you mean, i played mgs3 a lot on psvita that i feel a bit disappointed if its really a one to one remake. Hopefully there'll be a few new things like how capcom remaked re4. Nevertheless, still super excited specially with the new and modern control.

Si estas bien camufaldo con el entorno no te pillan facilmente. De eso trata el juego. Camuflarte lo mejor posible con el entorno y que no les sea facil encontrarte.
A 1:1 remake is the best choice in this case, I mean the base game is already a masterpiece, only the gameplay and graphics are improved and that is perfect for me. Cant wait
We will get part 4 before 1 & 2. Theres more to work with. 1 and 2 would need complete overhauls to a modern camera system. They simply cant use old camera systems to captivate a new audience. Lets be honest Konami isnt really doing it for the hardcore fans, theyre doing it for future audiences.

All the movements were copied from the old one... they weren't redone and they won't change it. Expect identical walking and running motion as the old one too.
I like how some things like the movement and CQC have been incredibly overhauled animation wise, but at the same time they've kept the animations that had character. I think its a great mix of new with keeping what made the old have so much style, totally understandable if you think it looks a bit janky.
Muy muy fiel, las cinemáticas y escenarios son clavados al original. Las caras de los personajes también son muy fieles, en especial la del Major ZERO. Para-Medic también luce bien. Big Boss también. Aunque la mirada me gusta más en el original. La cara de The Boss también me gusta aunque si que está bastante cambiada, pero refleja tristeza, dureza y fuerza en su nuevo rostro. Incluso el poco que se puede ver de Ocelot pinta a que es muy fiel. Esperando ver el nuevo modelado de EVA y el coronel Volgin. De momento este Remake me gusta bastante, solo falta saber si metieron más profundidad en los escenarios añadiendo nuevas zonas, sería perfecto si fuese así. Saludos.

También es que este remake parece que será bastante fiel y mejorará cosas del original. Diablos, hasta agregaron la capacidad de caminar en cuclillas y apuntar en 3ra persona, mecánicas exclusivas de la versión de 3DS de este juego. Mientras que con el remake de SH2... Ese juego es tan especial que si cambias tan solo una cosa, puede ocurrir cualquier desastre. Más porque MGS 3 tiene la ventaja de haber sido desarrollado en 3ra persona con una cámara más dinámica, mientras que SH2 tenía cámaras fijas (aunque dinámicas a veces) y el movimiento tanque, entonce SH2 necesita mucho más trabajo para modernizarlo que el MGS 3.
El ramake de metal gear 3 lo hace virtuos y el ramake de silent hill 2 lo hace blover team aqui konami solo entrega el dinero y hace la publicidad pero se mete casi nada en el desarrollo del juego y el otro punto es que son juego totalmente distinto y silent hill en el ultimo gameplay pintaba espectacular ya bro, confien en los procesos 🤘💪💪
Son las 2 caras de la misma moneda, mientras que el metal gear sería casi un remaster ya que solo es el cambio de modelos a unos más modernos pero reusando las animaciones y cosas del original osea no está hecho desde cero totalmente, y el de SH2 propone detalles y cambios diferentes y si está hecho desde cero

Ufff i have never played a Metal Gear Solid, barely tried the one on Psp when it came out but i was too young to be patient enough in order to play stealth as it should be. Now, at 27 years old i wonder which Metal Gear should i play in order to understand the story : i dont mind picking one on Ps3 if i have too. A few recommandations and a grasp of someone's expérience with how it should be play would be much aprreciated. Ps : is it possible to start the serie with this Remake ? I have my doubts as i read the lore was very vast 😅

You should compare against pachinko too. I think the Boss looks more accurate in Pachinko cutscenes.

A 1:1 remake is the best choice in this case, I mean the base game is already a masterpiece, only the gameplay and graphics are improved and that is perfect for me. Cant wait
We will get part 4 before 1 & 2. Theres more to work with. 1 and 2 would need complete overhauls to a modern camera system. They simply cant use old camera systems to captivate a new audience. Lets be honest Konami isnt really doing it for the hardcore fans, theyre doing it for future audiences.

Looks really good but that bridge climbing animation needs work
All the movements were copied from the old one... they weren't redone and they won't change it. Expect identical walking and running motion as the old one too.
I like how some things like the movement and CQC have been incredibly overhauled animation wise, but at the same time they've kept the animations that had character. I think its a great mix of new with keeping what made the old have so much style, totally understandable if you think it looks a bit janky.

Muy muy fiel, las cinemáticas y escenarios son clavados al original. Las caras de los personajes también son muy fieles, en especial la del Major ZERO. Para-Medic también luce bien. Big Boss también. Aunque la mirada me gusta más en el original. La cara de The Boss también me gusta aunque si que está bastante cambiada, pero refleja tristeza, dureza y fuerza en su nuevo rostro. Incluso el poco que se puede ver de Ocelot pinta a que es muy fiel. Esperando ver el nuevo modelado de EVA y el coronel Volgin. De momento este Remake me gusta bastante, solo falta saber si metieron más profundidad en los escenarios añadiendo nuevas zonas, sería perfecto si fuese así. Saludos.

Este remake pinta absolutamente espectacular y va a caer día 1 seguro
Pero por otro lado está el remake de Silent Hill 2 que sí,bien pinta pero ni de coña a éste nivel
Es algo bastante extraño el como dos remakes dentro de la misma compañia,tienen impresiones tan dispares
Y está apuntando a que también habrá resultados muy dispares,aunque toca esperar a que salgan los dos a ver que tal👀
También es que este remake parece que será bastante fiel y mejorará cosas del original. Diablos, hasta agregaron la capacidad de caminar en cuclillas y apuntar en 3ra persona, mecánicas exclusivas de la versión de 3DS de este juego.
Mientras que con el remake de SH2... Ese juego es tan especial que si cambias tan solo una cosa, puede ocurrir cualquier desastre.
Más porque MGS 3 tiene la ventaja de haber sido desarrollado en 3ra persona con una cámara más dinámica, mientras que SH2 tenía cámaras fijas (aunque dinámicas a veces) y el movimiento tanque, entonce SH2 necesita mucho más trabajo para modernizarlo que el MGS 3.
El ramake de metal gear 3 lo hace virtuos y el ramake de silent hill 2 lo hace blover team aqui konami solo entrega el dinero y hace la publicidad pero se mete casi nada en el desarrollo del juego y el otro punto es que son juego totalmente distinto y silent hill en el ultimo gameplay pintaba espectacular ya bro, confien en los procesos 🤘💪💪

Son las 2 caras de la misma moneda, mientras que el metal gear sería casi un remaster ya que solo es el cambio de modelos a unos más modernos pero reusando las animaciones y cosas del original osea no está hecho desde cero totalmente, y el de SH2 propone detalles y cambios diferentes y si está hecho desde cero

Ufff i have never played a Metal Gear Solid, barely tried the one on Psp when it came out but i was too young to be patient enough in order to play stealth as it should be.
Now, at 27 years old i wonder which Metal Gear should i play in order to understand the story : i dont mind picking one on Ps3 if i have too.
A few recommandations and a grasp of someone's expérience with how it should be play would be much aprreciated.
