You never know what you have until it's gone... The early 2000s were amazing
They were
I wish I was born earlier 😢 I'm a 2006 kid
It was already getting worse by 2001. The zombie post 9,11 generation who believed everything their governments told them, what their cooperations told them.
Now we have people of 100 different gender identities and narhzee's
Great times with great people
It's hard to appreciate things when your in the moment and your young. Unfortunately most of us realize this when we are 30
How lucky were we to experience the 90s.
Very. Last generation to live without phones and social media. I will always be grateful and remember.
Damn right 🫶🏻👏🏻
@@cookspookit really was. It was awesome. Our school did video yearbooks as well that looked pretty much like this. I don't know about other people but just like in the video, you could walk around different classes and just walk up to a group, say "whuddup" and you were always greeted with a smile or a "hi" or hug. I don't know anything about how schools are now but I know what it's like to walk into a room now days and all you get is a quick look up from their phone than back down... I miss the connection people had.
@cookspook yep it was. I was in high school (these kids' age) in 2004. It was awesome.

My country has banned the use of phones in class. The result is that students start talking to eachother again 😊
Which country is that? And can America do that? Just asking.

From the Netherlands here. We are banning phones at school starting next year. Can’t wait for it to happen!
Schools are still open to choose if they want to ban phones. But in my town and a lot of other towns, they already banned the phones.
In my country it's up to the school. The school I'm picking for my kid has a no phone policy.

Yes !!! Glad I am a product of the times I grew up in. 90s-00s girl all day !
No tattoos
Dress code and other rules were actually enforced back then. Half the kids today would've been sent home then for dressing the way they do. Then again, those kids are today's parents, so I think the spiral downward started around this time or earlier even.
@@heelntoe3982i don't know about that, lol I was in H.s from 1996-2000 our dress code was not enforced at all and some of the things we were allowed to wear would likely be considered "offensive " and would never be allowed today. The biggest issue funny enough was the guys who wore hats in class back then. I already had several tattoos by junior year and wore a lot of revealing clothes as a goth chick, that my nieces and nephews whom are now in High school are not allowed to wear and any tattoos must be covered. I feel we had more freedom to express ourselves through fashion back then as opposed to now. Of course it all depends on the school district itself though.
I'm so lucky to have experienced my teenage years in the late 90s. Nothing will ever replace the feeling of taking a huge sack of disposable cameras to walmart & ordering multiple prints of mostly blurry images to pass around our group ❤
Oh wow, what a throwback memory. I’m from New Orleans and graduated in2003. I remember when playing video games meant going over to a friends house haha. Oh how times have changed. Miss those days. Feel like our society peaked in about 2008. Since the Great Recession it’s just been down hill
Notice how everything felt more ALIVE.
Great observation. I was in middle school and high school from 1996-2003 so I was a part of this era. People had to be social in those days.

2006 graduate and ALL THE TIME I wish I could go back to 2000 and fully enjoy how genuinely awesome it truly was ❤
Yeah my mom graduated in 06 then had me a year later where I come from everyone has kids young compared to where I live now
2005 here and I miss it terribly. 😭😭
Adulting isn't at all what I'd dreamed it was going to be. 😔
@@gwenmloveskpopcecmore Most of my friends, brother and my sister had kids young too (after highschool) but I'm glad I waited. My twins will be 6 in July. I do wish they could've grown up when I did though.
@@cnlish makes you wish you listened when family said "don't grow up too fast. Enjoy being young" 😂
@@monkiesngoosies56 yeah but I’m sure it’s also a blessing to be an aunt
I wish I could've gone to high school before social media
YOU SURE MISSED OUT "GOGGLE PAGERS"
It was the shit! Except in bad areas. Kids think bullying online is hard? You got that in person. And things that are excepted now definitely weren’t then.
It was fun, but it was also just as awkward for any kid that age in any time in history. I wouldn’t trade my life now at 35 to go backwards. I enjoy being an adult. With the proper self reflection and discipline you can become a force to be reckoned with in adulthood.
You honestly missed out I’m not even going to lie. It was the best i hate the world now
We had things like MySpace and Hi5, but you couldn't access it from your cellphone.
2001; Fall semester was start of senior year to me. I remember tuning in and everything stopping on 9/11 right before my current events class started.
I miss those days!!!
Makes me tear up..how fast time flies and how quick everything in life is changing, the future is here
I wanna go back😢
@@TheOfficialRealEdits you are probably 9 years old. stop pretending you’re not like the “other generations”
@@PoundOfRedActually I Meant That I Wish Life Was Like That, Not That I Was In That Generation.
@@PoundOfRedI pray you overcome whatever pain and emptiness you're facing
@@PoundOfRedOk, Karen
Everyone seems cool calm and friendly
We were. All this division nowadays is literally manufactured by politicians who want to control our lives. None of this existed when we were growing up in the 90s.
Class of 2000 here!!! ❤❤❤
These are the days when you can smile and interact with friends and people this way. Very lively and great.
And now we're just about to hit 40, How time flies!!
💯
man our gen is getting older 😯
I graduated in 01. Man what a time to be 18.
I was 16 when I graduated early in 2005. But …I feel ya man!!!
@@Fantom6400 I just wish my children could have lived and grown up back then. Kids and teens in the 80s and 90s, starting life in 2000 2001...now it just sucks.
My graduation year 🎓🥲🥹
Look how happy everyone was
