My dad and I found a white tail like that once and we're in such awe we didn't even think to shoot him. To this day I am happy to say we didnt. It was the prettiest typical buck I have ever seen.

Very nice video, and what a subject it's about? Thank you Eastman's for filming, and recording those three bueatiful Wyoming Mulies . They were most definitely, some truly exceptional specimens, of thier species. The names Morty, Popeye, and Goliath, definitely suited them. Long may they be revered. Thanks. Wyo, Robert🦌🦌🦌🇨🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸💭💭🙏🙏 🙏

Thanks Mike. Found your channel around noon on a day off. The next thing I know it's getting dark outside. I was wondering where the hell the day went, then it dawned on me: oh yeah monster mule deer and the Eastman boys. Keep it up guys!

This is spectacular footage. I remember seeing footage your dad took of huge Mulies in the Red Desert of WY in the 70’s I think it was.

Thanks for sharing Michael! I got to say Goliath is my favorite. I've seen a couple of impressive bucks on public land in Wyoming, but as soon as you develop a plan, and try to execute it, they have disappeared.

I extensively hunted mulies for 30 years, switched to archery hunting only even during rifle season 30 years ago, then i moved to white tail country,so was forced to hunt wt. Tails. I just couldn't get into wt. Tail hunting.theres just so many things that draw me to mulies. Ive been fortunate to harvest a 225,mulie,diy,public land and several other great diy public land bucks,my widest buck is 31" wide 12x12 havent had him scored.
Cant decide which is my favorite to hunting more antelope or mule deer.
Dont know why but i never got into elk hunting,i would just go out harvest the first legal elk i saw and filled the freezer,so i could get back to the mulies.

Congratulations on the nice bucks you have harvested. I agree with you, there is nothing, I mean nothing like mule deer hunting. I’m exactly the same about elk hunting, although I have killed a big bull by happenstance.. otherwise I go for whatever is legal. A mule deer is a much better trophy to me.

@@EastmansHuntingJournals heck yea they do, and all of them turn broadside to give me that perfect 200 yard shot… haha. Come the night before the opener, I’m convinced that I’m gonna hammer Mr.Big because I dreamt about me doing so…I think all true mule deer hunters have the goal of finally getting that buck. I have bow hunted for 30 years and I never got a massive buck, you know the ones I’m talking about. My injuries from my time in the USMC have caught up to me, so now I’m hunting with a rifle…. All those times I’ve said, I could of killed that buck with a rifle… well now I can.

Yes actually there are, at least a few we know of. Wyoming Game and Fish biologist Gary Fralick took photos of Goliath when he was brought through the game check station after he was harvested. You can see those photos here featured in our migration film, "Imperiled": czcams.com/video/5BcfnAJeHGc/video.html
