- Thrill to the sights of inexplicable imagery, horrible delivery, and a hand that looks assertively plastic. Cliches abound, unabashed and free, just happy to be there. I sat through it, waiting for the reveal that it was a comedy, and it never happened. Maybe I just missed something?
Yes, the trailer is over the top. Yes, it was filmed in the most hideous part of the early '90s. But it is actually really well done, considering. Ally Walker gives an amazing performance. The whole Jordan in the insane asylum having a connection with the killer/victims thing is quite riveting. Plus! This is the first time Ally Walker and Ron Pearlman worked together. (They have subsequently worked together again on Sons of Anarchy, she as DEA Agent June Stahl, he as the Club Leader, Clay Morrow.)
I like this film, mostly because of Ally Walker. There's a second one, but they got Kelly McGillis to play Audrey MacLeah. It's pretty good, but would have rather have Walker in the role or just changed the character to someone else. Probably this is how Walker got the show "The Profiler", perhaps why she didn't do the sequel.
I did burst out laughing when the little girl plays the piano for Daddy. I have a pretty warped sense of humor and that was supposed to be so serious, but not to me.

lol I remember watching this movie as a kid and then I gave this movie's name in a game of charades to the opposite team. I lost ugh.
Damn, and then they met on Sons of Anarchy!
ha ha, now I know where I first saw Ron Perlman!!! Remember thinking this film was really scary when I was like 10.. total cringe!
