So after experimenting when washing my car the water goes down near the radiator not my air intake. Also what’s the purpose to have a vent if you cover it in my opinion... I also do not use the felt liner under the car for air flow so to me a lil water won’t hurt anything nor has it proved to be an issue or dirty by any means but great question!
Sir, what about when it's raining with this vent? Is it dangerous for the belts and anything other? I like that hood a lot and considering to buy one, but just get worried when the rain comes, because I'm not a DMX and can't stop it😁
You can block off vent with some tape like Jon said but a little water in my engine bag is no big deal. I do not have my linear under my engine bay so water gets in at times from below but no issues
Chris, congrats on 2nd place in the tournament. The GTS style hood looks BA and the vent should help a bit with heat. Is the engine noise noticeably louder with the lighter hood and vent? Not that it really matters 🙂 You guys had a fun day! I’d be down to throw my hands in to help in the future. You’d probably have some fresh ideas for my F30 too.
Hey, I didn’t notice a little zing to the sound but the motor is already loud with the turbo noise so maybe I’m imagining things LOL. Add me if you haven’t yet to instagram boo5t_f30 and I’ll let you know next time we get together. I always have f30 ideas 😂

Step up to a Ferrari F430. Use Woodside Credit and you can get 12 year financing to bring your payments in line. Great thing about buying a used F430 is its hit it's depreciation bottom at this point.
Hey quick question. Do you know of a good MHD data log tutorial? My torque down low/midrange is amazing but it seems to pull timing starting in 5th and kinda dies out not meeting MAF requested based on my very limited understanding of all the factors in the data log (and even the high torque numbers on the sport displays but low hp) I can’t seem to find a good resource, was hoping maybe you knew. Appreciate any help and thank you.
@@BOO5Tchannel had a reputable racing shop do the FBO but not tuning, I’m running a stock stage 2 plus map. Without understanding this stuff when I see MAF req. WGDC say be 35-40 g/s above MAF g/s in say 5th gear under WOT I’m thinking I’m not getting enough air for the map. I got the aFe Momentum closed box air intake that supposed to be 37% less restrictive than stock. I’m thinking crazy thoughts like taking the intake housing off and running it without it lol, but I don’t know if that’s a good idea. Just seems to me there are no resources from MHD on how to read these logs. Any tutorial you would make I think would be appreciated by all on this channel.

That hood definitely makes it look more aggressive. I've been wanting to repaint my hood and bumper or go with a full wrap.
Love the hood, they always get dings on them so wrap may be the cheaper option my friend...
Could also consider a paint correction and PPF film to protect it if you want to keep the color and stock look.

No I do not and when I washed the car the water was minimal and only radiator under that location...no issues at all

It’s like any aluminum hood, a lot of car manufacturers use them like Ford for example. Quality is really good for aftermarket!
How much was the paint job for just the hood?
I have not had it painted yet but looks like about $600 is what I’m getting quoted

It’s not gonna damage anything plus water gets in engine bay a little when it rains with stock hood. My car rarely sees rain
