    Housing should not receive so much financial leverage. THAT is the problem. If builders had to put up cash and get normal loans for their projects, no out of control projects would happen, or very few. Real estate developers get INSANE leverage for their projects, then just declare bankruptcy and start a new company debt free. This is how it works.

The investments are needed in building more hospitals now as the numbers of elderly is rising fast and we will start seeing a population decline by 2045.

Thats more than enough. But in urban towns and cities especially big cities population to school ratio is very less. Each school in urban cities are accomodating more than 1000 children. Can you imagine the quality of education they will be getting if a school has 1000 children in an area of 1000 sq foot. These children dont have a play ground. They cannot even assemble together. Why do you think the schools fees is so high in big cities. Its because there are very few schools.

      I'm not sure Gravitas concentrates just on China. I watch a lot of Gravitas broadcasts, and they cover unreported stories from all over the world.
      I think in truth, that is what makes Gravitas a good channel : they cover topics that are rarely covered by other media sources, and they do so with context. They look at a topic and report upon it in its own context. A very educational approach, IMO. And they are not biased : they give the facts and let the viewer draw conclusions, rather than providing some kind of 'narrative', or slanted perspective. No media source is infallible, but personally I do like the very clear and polished presentation style of both the young women who present the Gravitas reports. Nothing speaks more clearly of a decent education, than young women like the two Gravitas presenters, both of whose style is elegant, calm and lucid.

    • @h0kaki
      @h0kaki Před 2 lety +1

      For most Chinese, real estate was the best investment.
      In China usually when something is trending or works they will go really, really hard.
      Real estate was one of those, there were so many buyers that those projects sold out before they started building.
      The demand was so high that those developers got greedy and rushed to make new projects, and many other developers followed the same trend to keep up with the competitor.
      The seeds were planted, and this loop of competition and greed all those developers were in caused the bubble to explode.
      In the end, they all bit off too much than they could chew.
