I see that this was posted three years ago but I just found it today. Although I have visited this part of the battlefield many times, this video has corrected several of my previous past beliefs about the specifics of Iverson's actions in regard to timing, direction of attack, and the lack of coordination with O'Neil's force. This was an excellent presentation.
Ms . Whitehead…. You are Awesome. Thank you for sharing your knowledge or this Day 1 disaster. It really is a terrible..terrible day for N. C.
Several of my ancestors fought in the 20th NC and survived this massacre. They were illiterate, so they left no written record. Are there any known firsthand accounts of the action that day?
My 3X great grandfather was in the 20th NC. He was captured here and spent the rest of 63 in a prison.
She’s a bit unsure of units. Pete seems to carry her on many misses. Maps also would help. I don’t need it but most do.
You need a windscreen
That was enjoyable. Would make a profound subject for a highly - realistic drama / documentary, or diorama.
Out of focus and sounds like you are in a wind tunnel.
Cameron!
Gotta love family history
I heard Iverson drank a lot and was hammered, thinking his troops were gold bricking and he admonished them.
