  • New World territory standing upgrades are incredibly powerful, but they are also incredibly easy to mess up on. Early on, some upgrades will look like a no-brainer, but they are really just a trap.

    Maximum possible after 42 of the same cards is 37%. But you reach 28.4% with 10 cards and 35% with 20... There's more than enough to get 20 on each and then max 4 out of 6 of the percentual bonuses even after taking all storage and item cards.

      If you look closely at the crafting system you will see that lower tier materials are still needed for high tier crafting and in large amounts. You will find yourself farming a lot in the lower zones for those materials as there are many more nodes for them in those regions.

  • @ShiningDarknes
    @ShiningDarknes Před 2 lety

    crafting fee reduction is better than trading BUT keep an eye on the fee per item, once it hits .01 gold per craft that is as low as it goes because it is never free at that point swap to trading fee. Reason: You with craft far more than trade so the saving from not paying .02-.05 PER ITEM is way more important than not paying 5 coins on something you are selling for 50. Just think of the THOUSANDS of material you have to refine. Paying .02 instead of .01 is massive loss long-term.

    • @ShiningDarknes
      @ShiningDarknes Před 2 lety

      EXP gain SHOULD be taken in any zone that has one of the best exp farming locations. Honestly the 40+ exp farm areas like the boar farm that you are going to want to grind weapon levels would benefit from taking the exp card twice. The starting zones the exp card is a trap. You want crafting fee and gather speed when storage is not an option in the first zones and even the second zones (if they have all the resources, brightwood only has abundant higher tier resources so crafting should probably not be a priority there).
      One exception to the storage thing is House tax reduction. Often these come up together and if it is a zone you want a house in or already have a house ALWAYS pick tax reduction until you have the 21% card because after that point diminishing returns make storage just the superior option. Housing fees are kinda steep so changing that 600 fee to a closer to 400 is better than a couple dozen extra pounds of storage when you consider the house provides minimum +200 storage with the lowest chest so not having to pay as much for that is nice.

    • @ShiningDarknes
      @ShiningDarknes Před 2 lety

      Likewise TOO MUCH importance is put on the storage cards. If you don't plan on A: spending much time in or B: permanently keeping items then storage is a waste. 1000 is plenty for buffer storage for random stuff you want to keep and then transfer to wherever you actually do your crafting. Ultimately with 300 levels you will eventually get everything anyway but by picking storage every time over the other two you could be really hampering yourself early on.

  • @sppd100
    @sppd100 Před 2 lety +1

    the gathering speed card bonus will be negligible once you get your tool upgrades to a minimum of steel (which won't take long). A 10% increase in gathering speed (i.e. 20% card bonus, which is additive to your tool speed) from >240% speed from the tool alone won't be noticeable.

    • @Zezash
      @Zezash Před 2 lety

      Perhaps not per resource gathered. Over time however, especially if you plan to gather a lot, even a 0,1s decrease in gathering time will add up to a considerable amount. The same can be said about gold saved on trading/crafting tax reductions - it all adds up.

    • @sppd100
      @sppd100 Před 2 lety

      @@Zezash It's still worse than the rest of your choices until the extreme diminishing returns kick in. except housing items. that only matters in the three territories you have houses in. I can see the little bit of speed boost being good for leveling woodcutting since there are many trees in a small area.

    Once again, a content creator who made a video for card and once again the same mistake info.
    Dont take XP cards is really a huuuuuuuuuge mistake, cause xp cards can ONLY BE TAKEN BETWEEN LVL 1 AND 8 of territory standings.
    It means is possible to get them, when territory standing is soooooo easy to lvl up.
    And their is a maximum cap for everycards, it means, by dont take xp cards, you will be able to chose between cards who are useless cause already lvl max.
    So please, people, take those xp cards, benefit of them and you will be able to benefit at max for all other cards in future, dont made those stupid mistake to not take xp cards, trust me.

    • @iimJacKaL
      @iimJacKaL Před 2 lety +1

      Having 4 XP gain cards when you're level 60 is super pointless though. The storage, crafting fees and gathering speed will far outweigh the XP gain in the end-game. And in case you don't know, this game really just starts when you are at level 60.
      Getting territory standing to max level is probably the hardest grind of the game. So I'd say reconsider your choices and don't make other people join you on that choice.
      You will deeply regret it when you are level 60 and have chosen 4 XP cards which are completely useless at that point. I'd only take the first XP card when you load into the game in your starting area but aside from that I see no point in choosing it

      @@Reqqz Until you hit level 60 and then that are redundant. Hell, standing gain is way more important that xp gain because there are 300 levels of standing and only 60 of character level.
      Here are the choices: -
      Level 1 = Standing Gain, XP Gain, Gather
      Level 4 = Trading Tax, XP Gain, Storage
      Level 6 = XP Gain, Trading Tax, Storage
