Peak strongman Era, peak Arnold's
It was. They had a better lineup top to bottom at that particular point in time. Could you imagine Brian and Thor at their best against the current lineup? Outside of maybe Martins no one would have a chance.
@@bmstylee I agree 100%
This year we got a great line up! its back!
The King Hafthor Julius Bjornsson!!!
Hope to see strongman pull these type of weights in events again
Hopefully we will. I just don't see anyone threatening Thor's record.
They need to make it the first event again so the strongmen are all fresh
@@BuffPomsky even then Thor was miles ahead, ASC 2020 Deadlift was the 4th event, Thors opening weight would have gotten him 3rd overall in this years ASC, were it was the 3rd event, Thors 2nd attempt was 20kg over this years 1st place. Also this year briefs were allowed, the years Thor competed they were not.
This was (is) great stuff. Thank you Rogue for your coverage of Strongman.
One of my fav yrs at the arnolds ever. This alone was worth watching. The rest of the show was really good too.
The Static Monster era was the best Strongman era
what a great throwback
I'd love to see max deadlift next year at Arnold please Rogue 🙏
Would rather max squat, deadlift is overdone
@@dantethunderstone2118yea
@@dantethunderstone2118they will never do the max squat again
@@joebot9309 they should tho, they just need to make few changes like, only allow knee sleeves instead of wraps and having two set ups to reduce the down time between lifts.
@@Hesher93 they can also just have the person next in line wrap while the previous person Is lifting, equipped powerlifting can manage reasonable times so can rogue
These men are so much stronger than the guys we have now
I was watching this event yesterday..and now this...u been tracking me 😏
Man some big weights were pulled that year, love a max deadlift where they can pick their weights
❤❤❤❤
This event was way harder a few years ago than today?
Should be kg but graphic says weight in LB at the end
𝙂𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙏👏👏👏!!
Straps arent allowed but what are they using? I dont get that help?
they look like straps to me
i think only figure 8 straps arent allowed
Correct about figure 8 straps being prohibited.
nobody can do deadlift like Thor!
At the beginning of the video it says, "Straps of any type are not allowed." But the guys are using straps.
:14
Probably meant suits
Or figure 8's
Figure 8 straps are not allowed. Can't remember if they had suits or not.
@bmstylee I don't think they were allowed suits. I was saying to the original poster, maybe they meant no figure 8 straps
That's what made this years Arnold's such a let down. They were allowed deadlift briefs and still ended at these athletes opening lifts
If they have the dead lift at this year‘s Arnolds I can see Thor winning it even though it’s just his first show back, there aren’t many big dead lifters in today’s strongman…
I don't know why it actually says worlds strongest man. I've been googling and it says Arnolds
Now if we could get the strongman show back on the main stage and not stuck in rhe back corner as an afterthought. Instead of people slapping each other in the face and calling it a sport.
Mark Henry world's strongest man?
He never won WSM but he did win Arnold Classic in 2002
@Hhhlll7778 so not the world's strongest man, not even in 2002 ?
@@punchy1325no
@@allylilith5605 I thought so
@@punchy1325 ye, he never competed in wsm actually and 2002 was won by mariusz pudzianowski
