  • How on earth have we travelled full time for 4 years in such a tiny home on wheels?? This is a question we get asked almost daily!!
In this video we give you a full review of how our caravan & car has performed this year and what's gone wrong along the way!! There's also a lot of info that will help you with your own research and what you actually need when looking at caravans.
We also have a few discounts for you throughout the video on great gear we use, so keep an eye out for that! For all Info links - scroll down to the bottom of this description.
Thanks again for all your support for the series, we love having such a good audience so please keep the feedback and comments coming and of course, tell your friends to come and watch a few vids..

As an 80 year old Pom, who has had 5x 3 months trips down under, travelling the Nullabor and back, and doing extensive Out back and National Parks trips, {NSW and Queensland}, my travelling days are over.. Now I ride with you guys and dream, remembering the places I've been, and the friendly folk that I met. Keep on trucking.

Best review yet...tired of watching "We're travelling in this van today" & all you see is wine on the table & folded towels on the bed....Thanks Bec for family used van setup, don't feel embarrassed, you're living the dream ( & maybe our's too).👍

I used to have a fridge set-up similar to yours (in the ute), in my Chevy Silverado. Always concerned about weight, I ditched the whole idea......sold the fridge, the drop-down slide and the aluminium surround that stopped everything falling when the fridge was slid out. Those 3 items weighed just under 100kg. In its place, I installed a 60 litre upright Engel fridge (like a bar fridge type of thing), that weighs 23kg. WINNER!!!

Awesome walkthrough, Bec you have a very handy man , love the fact that you keep it real, love your Videos, its one very handy Van , a clean van is a sign of a van not used , my wife cleans the house with a glance, and she says that when we die we turn to dust so she doesn't dust the house because it may be someone she knows lol

Here’s a suggestion for your tinny problem mate. Look at Truekit inflatable boats. They are so light and fold right away and only require a small capacity outboard for them to zip along at a good speed. Takes 5-10mins to inflate and put in the water. Check it out👍

Hi brother love the video, been on the road for a few years now in old caravans and homemade camper but about 8 months spent the big dollars on a new van
Payed extra for pull out kitchen, like your bbq best investment, rubbish bags on tyres for rubbish and we use for dirty washing also when on the move great tip, just brought some navigator gear, rubbish bin and laundry basket , wife love them, don't have the battery system like yours but saving for one,

I'm hoping to get back into 4x4 ing and camping, but not to your level. How does the BT50 handle that weight ? I'm hovering between a BT50 and a Colorado.

Great review on van and car. Glad you mentioned the blown engine. We tow a sunseeker Mirage at around 2.8 behind our 2015 BT50 and blew an engine at 79000. All covered under warranty . Scored the bore on number 3 piston. Imagine that. We found that after fitting an EGT gauge we were exceeding safe temps on all but small inclines let alone pulling hard through sandy tracks. These engines don't take kindly to being pushed so we need to ease off. Don't know how you do it with 3.5 ton on the back

Hi i enjoyed your video. Just a thought, for extra prep space for your kitchen it might be possible to have a drop. down hinged door on the shelves under what looks like your TV. It may need a couple of chains or a collapsible leg to keep it stable though. Small net type hammocks can be used as storage and would be easily removable. You can buy rubbish bins that hang off your under sink cupboard either inside or out. Check out Simply Human on Amazon - quite expensive, although you could probably rig something up. All the very best to you and yours. Save travels from Rab (UK)

    Hi Justin and Bec
We have only just stumbled across your webs but what a lucky find and just bought your book.
We are currently in locked down Spain but returning to Oz as soon as we can and intending to go walk about as oldies. Very enjoyable series and great information too. Keep the good work up. Keith and Lindsay

Really great honest revue ,the whole set-up is very well thought out .One thing the manufacturers ought to take into consideration more is kids , they are a great test for quality of build , if it ain't well built kids will soon let you know .

Great video, really enjoyed it. Agree totally with the C Gear mat recommendation. Expensive but have owned ours for years and it shits on anything else on the market as far as keeping dirt and sand down. Love our Muk Mat too, use it for camping, surfing and 4wding. I know the local Burleigh family that makes them and they are an outstanding high quality product.

That’s a great rundown. Love your vids. Best thing for the grubby doors from the tin lids are baby wipes. They work a treat. Cheap and they smell nice too. We use them around our house all the time.
