Poor Tom has been through a lot on Clevver… but because we love him sooo much (and maybeee because he has no hair on his body left for us to wax) we decided all that pain was worth some pampering.
Today Joslyn and Tom visit FACE HAUS, where Tom gets to experience a facial (aka professional face cleaning) & blackheads EXTRACTION for the very first time.
This facial bar had so many skincare treatments - including LED light therapy, cool globes, face massage, defoliants, detox peels, and an intense blackhead removal / nose acne extractions. We just had to try it all. And you thought Tom had a baby face BEFORE?! Wait until you see the AFTER!

Oh my god it's Tom Plumley. He grew up in my town. I knew he moved to LA after high school, and he had done some acting and CZcams I follow him on Instagram. I was just on a CZcams binge tonight, clicked on this one, and was like "wait is that Tom Plumley?" I first saw him playing The Cat in the Hat in Seussical the Musical as a high school drama production. I don't watch ClevverTV too often, so it was a nice surprise to be able to see Tom on CZcams.
I just realized that Tom reminded me of Cole Sprouse!!!

I was going to say something about them being super fucking loud and screaming everything they're saying, but I feel like the comments did a pretty good job of that. So instead I'll just point out how useless all of this "treatment" was. The way your skin works is that it is constantly developing another layer. These layers stack up and push outermost layer off. The outermost layer then turns into dead skin, as it has lived it's life. That dead skin is not bad. When you remove that outermost layer of dead skin, you effectively get rid of your body's natural defense against any oils and stuff getting into your pores. You may be thinking, "why doesn't the dead skin get into my pores?" Well the truth is, it does; however, the pores in your skin are caused by teeny-tiny little holes of skin cells that either haven't developed fully, or are still in the process of being pushed up. Naturally, this just means that the dead skin cells stay in the place of the pores to prevent any more "bad stuff" from getting in. It's doing the same job as it would be doing even if you has that skin there. What causes acne isn't that your pores get clogged, but rather that your skin is trying to push up and starts dragging behind, only for more skin to accumulate and eventually it causes a "bulb" which we know as acne. If you, instead, leave that dead skin on there and don't touch your face, it should fall off just like all the other dead skin on there before. There is absolutely no reason to remove this dead skin layer. It will always do more good than harm for your skin. What the skin product industry tells you is that you need to wash your face because it's clogging your pores, but the reality of the situation is that if you just left it alone you would be perfectly fine. Acne is caused more by interference than anything. So when you use face products you are purposely making it so you have to spend more money on more face products.
*TL;DR* Don't do facials because you'll only have to get more and more because "cleaning" your skin is not as healthy as simply leaving it alone.
That's my stance on facials. I am not saying that it doesn't make you look better, but in the long run it _should_ , at least theoretically. I have no hate for those who get facials, it does make your skin look shiny and if that's your cup of tea, go ahead.
