You don't see puzzles and platforming in other A-RPG's because Darksiders Genesis isn't an A-RPG, but and action/adventure game with isometric perspective.
Confirmed by the devs, their main inspiration is Lara Croft & The Guardian of the Light. The game may have some light RPG elements, but that's about it. The only similarities it has with a "diablo-like" game is the perspective. The gameplay is also not point & click, but twinstick shooter.
The game is made to be around 15 hours duration with some exploration and dungeon replayability. Don't expect a deep online experience from this title. As i said, this is not RPG, there's no loot, there's no atributes or skill trees, there's no procedural levels.
Keep all that in mind or you'll be quite dissapointed.
