It goes to show just how important support for the family is when embarking on the journey that is living with a cleft. As a woman born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, I too understand just how instrumental having a caring and supportive medical team is. Wonderful story. Thank you for sharing.

my mother had a cleft pallet she was the third born of eight children no other sibling had it.My mother married in 1957 four years later a son no cleft pallet 2 years later 1963 another son no cleft pallet.1964 daughter born cleft pallet and the doctors told her it would be 1 in ten thousand chance of it happening again.Then I was born 1965 had cleft pallet and lip it’s very strange how this works

I have bilateral cleft palate scars in my face. I am Filipino living here in the Philippines. I can impersonate many voices for now. Thanks to operation smile. 😁🤣 I bully my self able to make some of. My friends to laugh out loud 😂🤣🤣
