The Peninsula express calls at limited stops between Gourd Isle and Chengshan, the highest level of service offered on map until the opening of High-Speed Rail in the future.
It crosses the Bohai Strait via a Bridge-Tunnel that would be twice as long as the Gotthard Base Tunnel. This section of line is built completely to High-Speed Rail standards capable of operating speeds up to 360 kph. Facilities enable conventional IC service to run onto the channel link until the HSR service takes over.
This map features areas surrounding China's Bohai Sea, a region with varied landscape and rich colonial histories.
