    I love the look of these cars, and the lengths Citroen went to in order to achieve a smooth, quiet refined ride. But the complexity they’ve introduced in order to achieve this means this type of car will never be around in 20 years like a 60s DS will be. There is something to be said for simplicity of design and especially for common replaceable parts.
    And sadly these cars in the UK cost a fortune to tax every year - £615!

    • @UPnDOWN
      @UPnDOWN  Před 2 lety +3

      To be fair, people said the same about the XM, and compared with many other newer cars, the C6 isn't too complex at all.
      The tax is crippling (especially considering it's actually a very clean vehicle) but abroad it's much worse. I'll enjoy it while I'm able/can justify it.

The water on the filter move a little bit the sensor on the bottom of the filter: contact defficincy. Also when the sistem pressurizei the suspension, with engine running, put up and down the car there times and move lero and right the steering wheel. Cheers!

    As a fellow C6 owner and someone who does all the work on these myself as well for the last 7yrs. I can personally feel the issues your coming up against. At times these C6s will push back at you. But your clearly intelligent & fairly patent and your used to Citroens in general so you’ll get it sorted properly in no time. I’ll give an example. It’s taken me a long time to replace the coolant hoses for the car I even after all that it would not seal. Eventually I found the reason. The non Citroen Radiator was leaking slowing in a place I could see easily. So not the bullet and bought the actual Citroen radiator and problem solved. No more slow loss of coolant. The after market parts aren’t in my opinion very good. I’ve had issues also with ABS sensor not lasting very long. But again the Citroen one lasted.
    You sort that cad soon. But it’s a car that needs Idir decent second hand parts or original Citroen part unfortunately.

    If you refit the level plug (the little one that goes in the level tube, then fill it, you can do it on one go, run the box to temp then check it..
    Whilst it's probably clutching at straws, I assume you did initialise the box ecu after changing the valve block as well as resetting the oil counter?
    It'll be bangy as hell after doing that, you need to drive it through a sequence for the ecu to learn what's going on in the box on relation to throttle position and road speed..

    Sonnax have a diagram for the AW TF-80SC which has some useful part numbers and symptoms/diagnosis information, they can also supply a rebuild kit.
    Harsh shifting and gear flare are usually caused by the Valve body not engaging the clutches properly not the clutches themselves
