- Jayne gives us a house tour of her home. She recently moved to Ghana from the UK last year with her family and has rented this apartment inside Villagio Vista, Ghana's tallest buildings and one of the most exclusive developments built by Trasacco. Villagio has a bar, restaraunts, cafe, playpark and much more - it really has everything! She gives us a full inside tour of her apartment. Jayne started a company in Ghana which sells furniture made in Ghana by local artisans called 'Chika & Co'. She shows us some of that Ghanaian made furniture in her house. She also does sustainable interior decorating for others!

You're right sir,
that's why I have to start forex trading 2months ago, now am making constant profit from it .
Natural, there’s a lot of math involved in forex trading,
but this is often presented in forms of daunting technical charts, indicators, patterns.
Trading systems allow you to limit the factor of emotional influence on decision-making,
As expensive as Villagio is, I was expecting more. I love her decor! I also love that she sources her items sustainably in Ghana and is creating employment opportunities locally ❤️❤️
I didn’t hear how much the rent was or do you have to buy an apartment. I know it’s the same model of paying 6-12 months at a time or more. That’s crazy!
Location! Location! and Location! = Expensive
@@striving1 A two bedroom at villagio is a little over GH₵ 20,000/month
Me too 😂
How much more though? I’m genuinely curious. I’m a Ghanaian living in Ghana 🇬🇭 for 33 years and Villagio is high end but not as high end as it used to be as newer developments are around and still coming up in the city. Its about 10 plus years for Villagio though … so I think they still have the prestige and the buzz from years ago attached to them.
Bro I’ve always wondered what the inside of Villagio would look like
Ama🥰
Helo am new in ghana
Same here. Lol
some of the apts are crazy, this looks like a minimalist apt. some I've been in is totally awesome
I love her style. She “gets” the open concept that is much sought after in America. Great job Vanessa🥰
Beautiful....Ghana is for the open minded..not forbthe small boys and girls stack in the small corner of the world ..GHANA SHALL RISE
Yesssir! In fact, it's already rising.

She’s simply got good taste. I really enjoyed this episode
She gets, what we call in America, "Style Points" !!!!!
The bed is so beautifull, love the sustainability we need more of that !
Acheampong😎🇯🇲 family have you been to Jamaica yet. The family are still there fighting for land rights.
Allo
Come back in 1 year
YT comments say Acheampongs left becos of Anna complaining
It's never enough for you
OMG, that cover-up she has on is beautiful.
Thise zone apparently looks like European only are living there
I'm totally clueless to women's fashion, except, as with most dudes, we like to look, but is it a safe bet to say 95% of all women who see this video are dying to get a top like Jayne is wearing? Even us dudes are saying, damn, that's a sharp top...
@@cubanooriginal1280 anyone can live there if they can afford it. Most Ghanaians would rather build their own home than rent like this woman
Yes, beautiful cover-up. Material sourced from Guantanamo?, Gantanamo? I thought I heard her say? Played it back a few times then I got it - KAN-TA-MAN-TO!!
@@veraaddoyobo8482 ok accept you seudo colonialism .
I love that the she value the art and style of Africa. I hope that she will influence the locals to support locals made and sourced business ❤️🇧🇷
Locals.dont need her help.. locals can't help.themsevels ,help ur people in Brazil.
Why is this her responsibility more than anyone else's?
This is easily my favourite of all your most recent vlogs Vanessa. Your guest really inspired me.
Agree 💯
yah because the guest is white...the reason y its gonna be difficult 2 take back the economy is because of black people with your kind of thinking....
@@fin2643 Wow!! An attack below the belt rooted in assumptions, with no evidence. This is dangerous bro.
omg that stainless steel kitchen is absolutely magnificent to me
Yep, I could make a crazy Sunday Brunch for a warm hearted girl up in there...
Yep. My first time seeing a stainless steel kitchen. I may have opted for it at the time of building my house.
@@denniscasely-hayford3245 Stainless steel can come off as very sterile and cold, but very warm and inviting if you do it right. I have to do my stainless steel kitchen with some cherry wood cabinets with glass doors, you know, to soothe it up nice and warm....
Africa is still relevant for business exploration. It's the new frontier for business opportunities. Big UPs Vanessa.
That's why the Chinese are buying up all the land, they ain't stupid, they know Africa is the last untapped resource on the planet. I just hope Africa doesn't sell out to the Chinese.
I mean, Africa had no choice when it was colonized by the Europeans, but now it has a choice with the Chinese trying to take over. I'm over here in America hoping Africa makes the right decisions for future generations, because a lot of Black people in the Americas wanna come home.
But Capital is very expensive here thou
"Still"?. It always was & always will be.
I suspect your guest would make a good home designer. Your interviews point to one fact and concept is, if you need something, very possible others may need it. So, fill the these business gaps. Thanks, Vanessa. Fan, from USA 🇺🇸
I wouldn't say "home designer", but she us an interesting woman to say the least.

Vanessa can you speak to young people who were born in Ghana and trying to make it but have not just yet? Their perspective is necessary to be shared on this kind of platform.
Yep. This is what I’ve been saying! All these videos are hype!!!!!
but its her channel....personally as an international buyer.......i want to see a more establish bussiness that can trade intertionally without going through alot of husles
If you want just started recording it yourself! I would be you first subi.
I'm relocating to Ghana!!!
This was a nice interview full of insights. It really hit home when Jayne said, that there is so much opportunity in Ghana right now, if you are a skilled person to come and make a better life for yourself. I look forward to being there in 2022.
We can become friends when the rite time comes
I love the tours of unique and creatively designed homes in Ghana and beyond. 👍🏽❤️💫🌎
Vanessa, you’ve done it again! Bringing so much insight about Ghana, the positive vibe from this interview is quite an eye opener. Good luck to you and your guests.
Vanessa I'm loving this interview. And the furnishings be too good. So natural.
I'm picking a lot of notes about decor in this video. Definitely downloading. 👌
This is such a beautiful home with so much thought and intentionality behind the furnishing of it
This is beautiful. I love the crafts, plants and all. Keep it up. Ghana here I come.
An Irish and Scottish accent together. Wow! They really don’t sound the same. 😊 Enjoyed this!
Keen ear, Hosea 👍
The Irish have a slightly more guttural "r"!
Very industrious people though!

Love her design aesthetics!! Beautiful apartment and kaftan!!
Love how purposeful the furniture is. The kitchen is probably the best feature to me 😍😍 . It's great how much space the apartment has
I can see her business going global❤
Loved this interview. So happy that Jane talked about VOCs and giving up paints, glues and varnishes with toxic off gassing!
Appears Jayne did her homework for this interview, and it was excellent.
Your work is giving work to the Local People✌ :: Your Sustainable Products are Unique::GHANA THANK YOU❤💛💚💥

Been binging this channel lately, it's cool to see houses and apartments around Ghana, some really cosy looking places!
Awesome... I am Falling in Love with Ghana!
Lovely, thank you again Vanessa Kanbi. I really liked, it all, really. The architecture, interior design was so on point, loved both your outfits and hair. Thanks alot for sharing.

Now this is more like it! Very modern, clean lines. Modern appliances. Gorgeous! Love it...
Vanessa, kudos to you my dear. You interviews and discovery are phenomenal. I'm learning so much from my country. That I wouldn't have obtained from Google searches. We all supporting you and the rest of the team in the same and similar projects. God bless you all more and more

Wonderful video, Vanessa. Very insightful for those of us planning the move.
As always great content!
Loved everything about this video. 😘
This is such a good video. So informative, thank you
Wow thanks for posting 👍🇬🇭
The apartment has a simple design yet the furnishing and decorative pieces gives it a luxurious feel. I can totally relate to having an out kitchen when most of the heavy meals are prepped. We've had to introduce this concept in a few of our recent building projects.
This is a fantastic tour. She is so thoughtful with her assessment of design. This apartment is lovely.
i have seen Jayne at Bondai restaurant and she looked so gorgeous her image got stuck in my mind and coincidentally i just saw this video of her wow so nice.
Greetings Vanessa Kanbi , awesome interview, this lady is very creative indeed and welcome to Ghana 🇬🇭. I agree on the creative mindset and sustainability concepts. Thanks for sharing Queen.
Nice to have u back. Ghana is now ur home
Grateful to all these ladies who have gone back to Ghana and creating employment for the locals. Kudos to all all these ladies!!!! Some of us are a little skeptical to embark on such projects. Because we have been screwed a few times.
Good arts and crafts works. Nice video!

Vanessa & Wode maya 👍
Great content Vanessa. I like how she came and created employment for herself and the locals. I also like what she wearing, Its good to be authentic in one's style instead of just blending in. Thanks
This was very inspirational for me. Probably because I have been talking about incorporating more Ghanaian products into my small decor business. Love her bohemian style, even though I am more of a scandi girl. This was absolutely beautiful!
Great video!!!

I had the chance to see how beautiful the apartment look like in viagio when I present a photo frame to a client living there. I actually love the place. I was there again recently when I was hired to fly a drone for King promise music Video. I love the place

Gorgeous, elegant & stylish lady!!!
I love the fashion, I'll look up the company as well
Jayne is STUNNING and her presence, the way she carries herself, and her fashion is all amazing. She did so well in front of the camera. I wish we can see more of her in your videos or even in Ghanaian media. Like wow.
I'm totally clueless to women's fashion, except, as with most dudes, we like to look, but is it a safe bet to say 95% of all women who see this video are dying to get a top like Jayne is wearing? Even us dudes are saying, damn, that's a sharp top..
@@dxwallace55 right man! it so sick and the way she wore it and carried herself made it even better. Its really about how you wear edgy clothes and not just the garment itself.
@@drewsy4788 Just saying, not sure if you're male or female, but me, a Black American Male, if I gave a girl that top as a birthday present, when that girl opens the box and holds the top up and looks at it, I just know she's gonna love it.
My thing is, I like African style, but not Kinte Cloth OVERKILL, just a subtle style and flava' that says Africa. If this European woman Jayne were wearing some hard core Kinte Cloth African outfit and African Headrap, she would look ridiculous, but she knocked us all out with this outfit, she's right where she should be, saying Hey, I'm in Africa, but not trying to hard to say it....
I like that Ice Bucket made of coconut! Wow.
Love the decor
