Don't stop, if you think of any new mods, we are always interested.
Hi Matt. Good idea using the plastic pipe and its exactly where its needed.
It will save a lot of dust landing on the lower wheel like conventional methods. Tony
It does seem to do a good job
Hi Matt, glad that all worked out, as always keep safe and well mate, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia.
Thank you Les
Excellent videos Matt ,really enjoyed them all........Thanks
Thank you
Good little saw series
Thank you
Add a T into the pipe with a stiff flexible hose that you can bend to near the cutting area. Think like the crown guard dust extraction on a table saw
Great videos as always Matt. 👍🏻
Thank you
Brilliant solution 👌
Thank you
The rebuild was a very interesting project. Thanks for vlogs.
Thank you
Good solution 👍 👍
Thank you
Love that, great solution
Thank you Keith
Surely NOT the last video about this bandsaw!! looks to me like it could do with an outfeed system :)
Great to see it all come together Matt, the magnets update is simple “Eureka” idea too.
Wish I had thought of it at the start
Nice fix to a dusty problem, mate 👍🏽
And an equally as nice retune of the fixings for the pipe. 👌🏽
Can't wait to see what your next project is working with this beast!
Thank you
Great video thanks for sharing 🍺🍺👍👍😷
Thank you
Another great video Matt, looking forward to seeing what you make with the bandsaw. Also I really liked the to camera into, sounded super crisp!
You did damn well with the saw, the videos are fantastic and with making of stuff is most enjoyable
Thank you very much
That 1.3 TPI blade looks positively frightening ! Nice restoration Matt. There's not much in the way of used equipment where we are, I'd love to refurb. a bandsaw. We used to refurb. machine tools as part of my apprenticeship decade ago - so enjoyable.
This one took a lot of searching for
Nice solution - good call on saving me suggesting magnets.🤣
Thank you
Really enjoyed these videos. Scary new blade. Take care.
Thank you.
Nice job Matt I’ve enjoyed this series 👌🏻
Thank you
What a great idea, thanks for sharing 🙂
Thank you
Now you've got the bandsaw finished, I guess it's time for a new Table saw? 😂
Haha maybe
I knew it! Rob Cosman...
He is good
Great final piece of the jigsaw
Thank you
It’s a bandsaw.
You could easily improve on that dust collection. First thing is to get a bigger hose, ideally around 40mm ID for easy connection to the pipe. I use a rather ridgid hose one for pools/ponds.
Second is that you need some more holes in the plate around the blade. To get som more airflow.
You dont know how much dust didn't get collected , so how can you claim you could improve it ?
Drilling holes into a cast iron table around the blade slot ? Realy ??
I doubt much sawdust is queueing up by the hose adaptor, no doubt you will publish a video showing how its done ......
Publish your work like Matt, or stick to designing by sofa
good job...awesome bandsaw..
Thank you
‘Recon great result for the time and money invested.
Thank you
This is a really nice solution. I wonder if adding some brushes inside the tube to brush both sides of the blade would improve it further?
Yes that night help
See how much dust is sat in the bottom of the wheel covers??
First to watch it. Well done Matt great video as usual.
Thank you
I would enter but, shipping those to the United States would cost a fortune, thanks for sharing.
Have people been moaning about too many bandsaw videos?! No need to apologise to me I've thoroughly enjoyed all these bandsaw restoration videos and hope it proves reliable for you
Thank you very much
Nice job.....the black paint suck the dark green looks much better
How loud is the bandsaw, would you say as loud as the table saw?
that first moving of the bandsaw looked very unstable, could be painful if it pinned you down
Looks like it would fall over if you tripped into it.
Judging by the way you were walking, I'd wager you felt motivated in getting the fit right the first time. Cast iron is heavy.
Yes it was pretty heavy
