    Perilous jungle won't affect pecharunt as it's a dark type :)

    In the no multi prize format I play in with my friends, I could see this turning into a 0 energy deck that only relies on poison damage which would be really silly

  • @piplup2884
    @piplup2884 Před 28 dny +8

    Carmine might make this a lot more likely and perilous jungle won't affect pecurunt since its a dark type

  • @Jocur314

    This looks like a lot of fun to try and make work. One small note though, Okidogi can only cap out at 310 dmg and not 360 as Pecharunt needs to be in the active spot for its extra 5 damage counters and it can't be there if Okidogi is attacking. Still a lot of damage and it's all irrelevant if you can pull off the turn 1 donk anyway. Great video!

    • @ogrebarberian7187
      @ogrebarberian7187 Před 27 dny +3

      you can however attach the binding mochi to increase damage by 40 if the pokemon is poisoned. so still 350 if okidogi has the mochi, and bonnette poisons both mon with a sneasler and jungle out.

    Even if you don’t donk the opponent due to them having multiple basics you can still get an early prize card. Could definitely help poison focused decks.

      Things like this need a HEAVY reliance to Neutral Center. After all, it got 80 HP and can KO easily. You need to live a turn or 2 to gain more potent poison

    ive been excited for the loyal three coming already since those spoilers dropped. and the deck is starting to take shape fairly well. with this peacharunt, it gets that much more interesting, and i think the deck is nearly built now in my head, gonna have to put it on paper soon.

    So with a total of 3 Pokemon, 1 Tool, and 1 Stadium, we can have 80-100 poison damage between turns on the opponent with only 10 to our own, PLUS they're all single prize Pokemon?! Plus best DLC girl Carmine helps out along the way? AND Okidogi ex is only taking 10 from poison because it's a dark type WHILE doing 260?!
    Alright, this new set has sold me. I'll get back into playing the TCG again. It's actually kind of a great strategy if you think about it, since it forces the opponent to either switch out or heal the poison another way, and on the first turn of the game forcing a switch PROBABLY isn't what the opponent is going to want to deal with, and let's be real, nobody is going to play cards to heal poison just on the off chance someone plays this legitimately. This deck is going to be TOXIC, and I for one am all here for poison having a legit chance at being great.

    • @Kuraikage187
      @Kuraikage187 Před 27 dny

      isnt there a mochi tool that also adds 40 more damage?

  • @mythaniakeroberos2405
    @mythaniakeroberos2405 Před 27 dny

    I was going to say that if you don't hit a small basic who wants to be stage 2, it's over. But the Okidogi ex is actually a nice pivot option. I feel it needs to have Penny to put Brute Bonnet and your Booster into your hand to play again in case you need to reposition, and you happened to toss several of those pieces digging turn 1.

  • @aaronbill3
    @aaronbill3 Před 27 dny

    For Pecharunt to work it has to be active, so Perilous Jungle won't affect it because it only affects non-darkness pokemon

  • @anzahanifathallah
    @anzahanifathallah Před 27 dny +1

    now im wondering how viable this Pecharunt donk strat is in the Gym Leader Challenge format. you can't use Secret Box, Radiant Sneasler, Lumineon V, or Squawkabilly ex; but Pecharunt + Bonnet + Ancient Booster + Perilous Jungle should all be legal for GLC (albeit dealing only up to 80 dmg instead of 100), and who knows what other cards are there to help you dig further down your deck to get that specific combo...

  • @JamesBrown-vv6bu
    @JamesBrown-vv6bu Před 28 dny +5

    Oh heads up, the stadium card says that it adds 2 more damage counters to poisoned non-darkness pokemon and pecharunt is a darkness pokemon so it doesn’t add any more damage to it I believe! (To be fair that also makes it not usable against other darkness type pokemon)

  • @JosephTramm
    @JosephTramm Před 27 dny

    It’s a fun combo, but I’m not sure it’s enough to build a deck around and it’s a lot of cards to put into something that isn’t the focal point of a deck.

  • @BilllyButton
    @BilllyButton Před 27 dny

    Dont forget ditto from 151 allows basically 8 pecharunts in your deck

  • @RandomSwitchGamer
    @RandomSwitchGamer Před 28 dny +5

    Others have mentioned but just to make sure you see it, Pecharunt is Dark Type so it doesnt get the extra damage from the Stadium
    Forrest Seal Stone turn 1 into Secret Box just gets everything into motion 😱
    But also "Im not saying you have to go hyper aggressive" & "maybe its too gimmicky" hyper aggressive gimmicky is my wheelhouse 🤣 definitely going to be testing this

    • @naturalharmoniagropius4486
      @naturalharmoniagropius4486 Před 28 dny

      Like what I say, Neutral Stadium is the go-to for things like this. Pecharunt has 80 HP, meaning it can survive in a turn, meaning the ability only works on OUR turn, not THEIR turn, and most decks nowadays barely run single-prized attackers, except you're Gardevoir or Lost Box. So this is helpful on this build. The loss of Secret Box can be cope up by T1 Arven setup

    • @RandomSwitchGamer
      @RandomSwitchGamer Před 28 dny

      @@naturalharmoniagropius4486 A lot of decks are playing single prizes, actually some of the best decks right now play single prizes, Charizard has many, Chien Pao plays two, even decks coming out like Dragapault and Blissey play single prizer...and one thing to keep in mind is even if you get your set up to poison with Brute, have Pecharunt in Active, Rad Hisuian Sneasler with Perilous Jungle out...that's not just 100dmg going to your opponent's turn, but if they can't recover or switch out that's another 100dmg coming back to your turn...200 poison damage in total, so you are fine with losing a single prizer that's easily searchable to set back up to take out ex mons quickly
      Neutral Stadium is fine and all, but it's a 1 copy card that is a lot harder to obtain turn 1, and also if your opponent starts with a Pokemon that doesn't have a rule box like Charmander, or Dreepy, or even something like Bidoof...then you actually don't want Neutral Stadium cause then they don't take poison damage..."Prevent all damage done to all Pokémon in play that don't have a Rule Box"...so you're hindering the point of the deck with poisoning by allowing your opponent to not take all the poison damage you could be dealing

  • @horizonworks7553
    @horizonworks7553 Před 27 dny

    technically a poison deck that win turn 1 , or lose the game XD

  • @mrphil123
    @mrphil123 Před 27 dny

    Jungle dont work on dark types tho?

  • @naturalharmoniagropius4486

    Sadly, Pecharunt needs Neutral Center for it to work. It needs to stay in the active and take more poison dmg on the opponent. One KO on this one and the Poison effect goes away.

    • @RandomSwitchGamer
      @RandomSwitchGamer Před 27 dny +3

      Respectfully I disagree
      I think you're missing the point of the video...A LOT of decks play single prizers with low HP, Frigibax, Bidoof, Radiant mons, any ex evolution mon's previous stages Cleffa, and other...even soon single prize Munkidori is going to be seeing play...single prizers are everywhere, and a lot of players just play a single mon for the turn one, but this WILL force people to play at least two now, cause its actually quite likely to set up a turn 1 win, if they aren't expecting this...
      And Neutral Center is fine, but I don't think its as needed as you are saying, the point of this video is to consistently get this niche set up turn 1, and the Neutral Center does not help with that, plus Neutral Center actually hinders your entire deck's plan of poisoning if your opponent does have a basic non-rule box mon as their starting active

    • @matthewkuscienko4616
      @matthewkuscienko4616 Před 27 dny

      The thing kinda is, decks that are vulnerable to this strategy are going to ideally want to be setting up more Pokemon early anyways to try to ensure they can get going. People should already be practicing putting down more Pokemon during the setup regardless of whether or not this will be good

  • @Beeman36
    @Beeman36 Před 28 dny +2

    Pecharunt already has an attack that does poison, and it's ability only works in the active spot, so you might as well not have Brute Bonnet. Also, the stadium doesn't effect Pecharunt since it's a darkness pokemon.

    • @Hephaestus_God
      @Hephaestus_God Před 27 dny +2

      The problem is the fact it can work... And it isn't the first time someone brings random decks to world or national champions ships getting top 16 or winning.
      If it can work 1/5 games (which is a lot for meme decks, maybe ever more than that we don't know) then you will be required to start benching multiple pokemon during setup.
      And if you are now required to bench multiple pokemon during checkup every first game against an opponent you run the risk of insta losing to stall (not that they don't have ways to get basics on your bench, but you get the point)

      This is interesting...I like that thought, but to fit that in might be rough, cause you'd technically already be doing up to 200 poison damage if your opponent can't switch or recover the poison...but if they do switch out, you could move the damage to Active and then do the whole poison set up again on the new active...so not a bad thought
