Hi! I tried making american buttercream and it was quite buttery to the taste, does the Swiss meringue buttercream have similar taste to American buttercream?
personally i do think it is better than american buttercream but it is made with lots of butter so it still does have a taste but not strong at all imo (I think it just depends on if u have a strong sense of butter taste)~ you can also always add more simple syrup or vanilla to help counter the butter taste or just try a really small (lik 1/4) ver of the recipe before you make a full batch!
also sometimes the butter you use can help with the strong butter taste~ i tend to notice some brands for whatever reason taste more buttery then other and some are more bland tasting!

It‘s so pretty, 💞💗🐸 I am planning to make a cake like this for my birthday and i tried out a what we call where i live „Mascarpone-Creme“ as Frosting. But it was very melting when i tried piping it and it seems like it has to be very, very cold so it doesnt melt when i pipe it? Or is that type of frosting just not meant for such decorations? Is it not stable enough? Or do i need to cool it down more? I would be so thankful if you could tell me if i should just cool it more or if it is not the right frosting and i should try a different type? Also what type of frosting did you use for this cake? Thank you💗💗💞💞
ahh if you’re using mascarpone crème you probably wont be able to get the designs without it being too soft! :( it’s just the way the crème works!
you could try using it as the filling and then a whipped cream for the decorations?
