Hey DJ 2legit. I’ve got these 4 set and 12 Both IR4’s. I use them with my ape labs too along with my W-app. I only does washes / musik mode but still looks nice and classy.
I have used 2 mic stands with the 3/8 - 1/4” adapters to have 2 up high. Looks really cool.

@DjCraighowarth. That’s so cool. I would be forever grateful if you could provide me with some guidance on how you did that? I’ve played with it a little bit, but just can’t seem to get my W-App to control the tubes. Lastly, does your W-app allow you to change between the different music modes or does it just activate whichever one it was previously set at with the remote or within the menu. I’m curious to see if I can change between the four different sound modes on the tubes directly from the connect box. Appreciate any help and guidance. Thank you.

Thanks for the Heads Up on the Stands ordered 2 Four pieces because that case looks heavy and too big LOL and this way we can use them at 2 different events

Good catch there on the loose bolt. You could add some lightweight loctite and then tighten them and periodically check on them.

Great in depth review! I probably won't get into these Tube Lights as I don't see the monetary benefit in having them. However, if they did produce a version of these lights that fold in half so they are more compact, I would be more enticed to buy them. Transporting those long lights along with everything else I pack into my vehicle at most of my events is not going to be feasible. My SUV is packed in with my current lighting effects, and up lights along with the sounds systems and gear bags...it has gotten real tight to fit everything for these weddings that I do. I drive a Chevy Traverse, and don't want to go any bigger on a vehicle

The only thing that’s holding me back on this purchase is the lack of having an IR remote. That’s why I’m choosing to stick with ape labs until Both lighting goes IR.
Otherwise, the colors and brightness is awesome. It just sucks that you have to be so close with the IR remote.

Yes I still use my Both IR4s at my gigs. Don't use moving heads anymore though. Don't really see a need for moving heads anymore. They take up too much time for me to setup and break down being a solo op.

Quick question: When you set the tubes to master/slave will they remain in that mode through powering down & recharging or do your have to reset before each event?

The batteries last a very long time. Like 10-12 hours. They have different modes of brightness and last varying times depending on what brightness you set. Rick Webb discusses that in full detail on his channel. It all depends on how you want to use them as far as a 150/200 person wedding. Yes I think 4 are enough, but depending on your setup, 8 can be great too. All up to you.

I just connected them to the charger and plugged them into some electricity. I had to let them charge the first time for about 6 hours I think but they did charge up for me with no problem.

What about the light menu, seems really sluggish and I haven’t been able to get very far with it! I also tried your remote method and I can’t get the auto programs to switch! It came set on 0
