Hey umm I'm having a hard time. I cant use the counter. I'm new to mhgu But I played mh3u mh4u Mhw. 1 question please answer as soon as you see. Am I supposed to use the counter at the moment he hits me or before is there a timing to it?
Edrik Ruiz you can only use the counter when you’re in valor mode. With the timing, you should activate the counter before a hit. Just like in adept guard point/evade. You can practice your timing with Glavenus or Narga coz their moves are pretty easy to predict and memorize.

Just for reminder, doing shield thrust+A in brave mode u can do a quick charge double slash without using Y+A, sorry i need to say this cuz not so many people using this even speed runners, i just dunno why, can someone make a video about this?

You weren't using valor style. Make sure you are.
