    In New Zealand (and Aussie) we call these custard squares 🤤 but we dont use the almonds/icing sugar just plain puff pastry & we also put a basic vanilla icing on top!

    I’m moving backwards starting with your newest videos and I’m to five months, hence this recipe and I’m going to make it this weekend for my family dinner. Every recipe has been incredible. You truly are my favorite chef ❤ your recipes are easy to follow and you don’t over complicate.
    Thank you from Utah btw for 3 days in September every year, Salt Lake has the most wonderful Greek festival. I would say it’s the most popular celebration of food, dance and culture locally.

    Oh my... puff pastry going on my grocery list. I usually have some in my freezer... but I can't use up what I have without having another package in there!.
    I love vanilla custard. Such a decadent dessert!

    There is a similar pastry in UK too, they call it custard slice over here. I never tried making it myself as it is readily available everywhere but might give it a go..thx for the recipe! Euxaristo

    This looks great. I like how you taste test your desserts as if you don't know that they're perfect. Would a splash of almond extract, while you are adding vanilla, be a good idea?

    In Belgium it’s called “mille-feuilles” (thousand sheets/layers referring to the puff pastry of course ). I absolutely love that dessert and I miss it since moving to the States so thank you for this recipe!! From a half Greek, half Belgian fan of yours!!
