    I have the same VW but in red :D I make dirt by running Kansas dirt through a tea strainer.

    Huh. Thanks Ron. I have sifted dirt and decomposed granite before but haven't tried using water to get the silt. I also have some glycerine .. so will try that too!

    Ron I get my scale dirt at the local Little League Pitchers Mound after a game has been played. Its a very fine powder. But I will have to look after a soaking rain in on my dirt roads here in Indiana.

      I shake my head at the thought of how I know this... But it is a windfall in free dirt.

    you make bridges.. how much for the one in St thomas. about 3 feet long..... it is looking good all painted up with the dirt.

    see i use to do that when i was a kid, and make pies with it. my mother use to get so mad at me.. lol,, mud pies all over the lane way, and i got a little dirty most times to.
