Not really, it would reset reality zero again, just like in ch1 season X.
This was what the event should have been
Instead of the tv island we’re at the reality tree fighting off chrome
Then the event starts and tornados start appearing tearing the island up
Eventually the herald appears we try and fight her but lose and explodes the map
Then we go to different reality’s fixing the island
Herald comes back try’s to stop us
But we bring back the seven and defeat the herald and fox the rest of the island
And event end
Instead we just ran around for 40 minutes collecting zero point fragments
And another 40 waiting on an island with a tv

If the event can be explained in three sentences, is it really an event?

also thats the problem with u guys. you hate on epic because you got spoiled by how epic creates live events nowadays. this live event is a symbol of how past live events used to be. simplicity.
you guys should even be happy because epic made an live event for the introduction of chapter 4.

@@baconandchessman Ok, lemme explain MY reasoning. Live events before have been more interactive and exploration, but this one was just running around doing quests for nothing. This isn't just a bad event, it isn't as good compared to past ones. This event was more about nostalgia. So, This event didn't suck, but it wasn't as good as others.

Thank you. Same here I thought that we were going to fight the Herald and eventually end up losing and thus giving us a new map. But they showed us that in a 2 minute clip rather than us playing the event like this.

This was very anticlimatic, we got so hyped with the loopbreaker teasing, the nothing, the floating POIs and all the other suff such as the 7 being missing and the bunker just so the island gets blown up in 3 mins without any explaination why.

Was probably very rushed, I mean they worked on the mothership coming in when the season started. There’s obviously a lot more cut out. I also like to think that chapter 4 was rushed, and that they did plan for a season 5, but that’s just my chapter 3 bias kicking in…

*Now I sit at a small space campfire gazing upon Chapter 4 Island. Now that the Fracture Event is over here my thoughts.*
*Pros:* Fortnite never ceases to amaze us with how beautiful it can look. The colorful space & stars I love. The feeling of loss was kinda felt when we lost to The Herald. Gathering mini Zero Point balls with people was kinda fun & a little confusing trying to catch them all. Also I do like the music soundtrack playing in background. Paradigm taking a huge risk doing Zero Fusion was awesome & not sure if she is gone or not. We'll have to see!
*Cons:* This event was very odd I'd say. It wasn't underwhelming or overwhelming. I was honestly thoroughly whelmed throughout the whole time gathering mini Zero Point balls. Yes it was sorta fun, but I expected a little more personally. I wished we had a small Last Stand segment trying to defend the Reality Tree by shooting Chrome Enemies until The Herald arrives with Cube Queen. Also it would've been cool if we traveled to different realities gathering pieces of islands, but nonetheless the Fracture Event was just "ok". That's just my overall thoughts & opinions on it. *Can't wait to land on Chapter 4 soon!* 👍💯
*Edit:* I was gonna rate the Fracture Event a 5/10 average, but seeing that we've had much better & more fun events from the past seasons really hurts the score. Plus we know Epic Games can do awesome things & that's why we have high expectations for them. Sadly this event really missed the mark, so my Final Score is unfortunately a *3/10* below average.
And with doom coming to fortnite I will safely say I’m going go be doom guy forever

I agree ! I didn't like that it felt so quick that the Herald was defeated so quickly. Maybe we could've fought off here chrome wolves or something and then that's when she gets bigger and then it'll like cut to the scene when she gets defeated.
@@nerodmc5fe7b40 I noticed him, & for me personally Doom Slayer doesn't really fit in something like Fortnite.🤔 A literal superhuman who bloody kills demons, fought through hell, & battled The Devil himself showing up in a colorful world like Fortnite is kinda strange lol. It's cool that we can get him as a skin to say the least.🙂

Though we know they’re good guys now, the Seven technically did it too in Season X.
@@earthboiproductions2407 they reset the island, not destroy it. It became necessary after Paradigm cracked the ZP and it destabilized during the two seasons. The island was still intact, just that it was rearranged

So you're telling me, after a few years, countless attempts, Midas, Galactus, C2S6 event, The aliens, the last reality, the I.O, all of them trying to destroy the island, and the thing that has been hyped up for AGES... Is done without any explanation in a 2 minute cutscene. And the event was orb collecting + another 2 minute cutscene. Not looking too good for Fortnite.
i think the zero point exploded because the reality tree was threatened, it exploded in an attempt to save itself from the chrome, just my opinion, though,

Midas wasn't trying to destroy the island just break the loop, Galactus was defeated by Marvel Superheroes that are no longer on the map, IO was defeated by the full power of the seven at there peak. The aliens got wrecked by IO But during this event there was no Marvel Superheroes and the Seven just Paradigm and some loopers, so A the chrome destroyed the island or B the zero point exploded saving itself from becoming chrome. (and techinally speaking the cube queen and herald work for the same being called The Nothing so they techinally won in the end)

Apparently this is Fortnite’s way of saying,( the herald is more powerful then Midas, galactus, the I.O, and the cube queen. Yeah, the herald’s boss wasn’t even that hard so technically this doesn’t make actual sense…
I’m mixed on this event because one it looked cool and I like the reforge section but on the other hand it was disappointing because I thought we would be fighting back against the chrome and then the map would get destroyed.
The only actual kinda interesting part of the event🤦♂️

5 years, nobody can break the island. A weird looking botanist, kills the island in like 5 seconds
If people are still confused near the end, that’s not the herald destroying the island, lemme explain.
When the people (pretend that’s us) were fighting, notice a blue glow the moment they were chromed. Remember the quest where we had to wake up the zero point to be active again? Also remember how when we are chromed, we stay in that for a moment before reverting back? Well I think the zero point takes us away, and the herald tries to take everything (before chroming herself in an attempt to do what we did) before trying to use the chrome to get to the zero point, however, the zero point had no option but to destroy both sides of the island in order to prevent the chrome from getting to everything else (no object or part in contact, means she can’t come back in any way since the chrome just stops entirely after the island just explodes).
This is why the next cutscene shows us floating in space since we, the players, are still close to the zero point. This is also why the herald is just stuck as a tree now (I’ve seen some people theorizing she may return, but I doubt it with how we’re getting yearly chapters now).
As long as the zero point exists, it still keeps the loop going.
