My first concert ever was The Grateful Dead at Nassau Coliseum on 9/8/73 and the warm-up band was The New Riders of the Purple Sage. The crowd was in awe, it was an incredible show from what I can remember. I can't help but mention that on this video there is so much chatter going on, that never used to happen at Dead shows. What the heck is it with audiences today? It's disheartening to hear.

I have notice that too on so many I've watched. It's a bummer. Also the old tapes we used to have, were from the "tapers section" so you didn't get all that B.S. :)
