I bought a Steam Deck just to use as an all-in-one high end emulation machine...and I have NOT been disappointed.
if you own the video game then emulate it but I really don;t like the idea of stealing a game you can legaly get. If you can't buy it, its preservation of content tho that's different.

Well, if Nintendo gave people free cloud saves then less people try to play Nintendo switch games on the Steam Deck as the deck aloud you copy your saves with out needed the cloud for it or some drm crap for backing up saves.

Yes, but it's also Microsoft and Sony have the same problems and even if you buy a better controller the buttons wear out over time. I can get about a year or a little more out of Xbox 360 controllers and for 16$ a controller it's economical.

The tech inside almost any analog stick comes from the same set of factories, and due to the analog nature, no 2 sticks are exactly alike. Some are more "perfect" than others.
To put into perspective: There is absolutely no such thing as a perfect analog stick (potentiometer). Software needs to be calibrated to catch >99.9% of error.
If you're an unlucky 0.01% person, then you have more options to solve the problem quickly and efficiently with the deck.
Riding another company's coattails is not impressive to me.

Emulating games is not illegal, downloading a rom is illegal. And you can easily convert your switch games to the pc easily.

@@sorason931 No emulation is not illegal or Nintendo themselves would be breaking the law with their subscription service. Also, it has been tried in court by Sony and Sony lost the case. Emulation is legal. Pirating roms is illegal. Not emulation.
