Amen same here The whole Bible is about Jesus , but Isaiah 53 is crystal clear that Jesus is The Messiah and bore God’s wrath took the punishment you and I deserved and out of His Grace and mercy we’re saved through what Jesus did on the cross and believe in what He said, “ IT IS FINISHED.”

Was reading Daniel 9:25-27, and my friend and I were trying to figure out the 70 weeks, and implications to revelation and I came up with a rather dry but I think correct thought. Gabriel spoke Daniel 9:24 "seventy weeks are decreed for your people." Daniel 24-27 have been used by many to give the timeline for Jesus's return, and the start of the last week, while I think it is much more direct. Gabriel was talking with Daniel about the Jewish people, and their future timeline of events, which included Jesus' death, the destruction of the temple, the desolation and abomination and flood of war. So after Jesus's sacrifice the time of the Jewish people's law curse (I used law curse because Daniel prayer talks about the curse as related to Moses law justification.) was over, and the Jewish people were forgiven and the new covenant started, which is why Daniel 9:24 does not say and will continue. It says decreed for your people. To me this seems profound and a new interpretation. I of course could be wrong.
23 When you began your petition, an answer was given which I have come to announce, because you are beloved. Therefore, mark the answer and understand the vision.
    24“Seventy weeks* are decreed
    25Know and understand:
    26After the sixty-two weeks
27For one week* he shall make

I never thought that Isaiah 53:5 was _specifically_ for physical health (because I know we will have trouble in this world as humans (both spiritually and physically)) but I had always assumed that the healing power of Jesus/God covered whereever we needed healing. ..in other words, I _knew_ it wasn't a guarantee to always be perfectly healthy but i was almost 99.9% sure it would cover any healing that we requested in Jesus's name
I suppose I was wrong. Thank God for his word and for people who can explain it like you do.

You mentioned in verse 5 of Isaiah speaking about things that had not happened yet but speaking as though it had already happened. This is an idiom called the prophetic perfect. It is a very common figure of speech used in the Old Testament. It is not used in our language today as far as I can tell. Jesus Christ used it also many times speaking of the Millennial Kingdom that is coming. It has caused some confusion in the body of believers today because people do not understand this idiom that was used then. But once a person realizes how this works it clears up many scriptures.

I believe Isaiah is seeing what Gods already showed him. He’s seeing it from Israel perspective after it happened and they realized the grave sin they committed. It makes sense because even though it’s the future for him, he can speak of it as if it is the past since God already showed him the event in the future as if it was the past and it basically is for him.

Waiting for his teaching on Isaiah 57. I'm curious to know about God letting good people dying so they don't have to live through evil times. I'm wondering if that's what happened with Enoch? Though he didn't die? I don't know.

I wish I had heard this before I got married. I asked him if he was a believer. He said he was and that he believed in the death, burial, and ressurection of Jesus Christ for his sins, so I married him, only to find after we married that Jesus was not important to him and did not have much of a place in his life
