To tell you a bit of his background. He got bullied when he was young just because his voice didn't change when puberty came but that was not his choice and people called him names..... because that, he didn't sing in front of people for a long time and he even tried to tone down his voice when he speaks. It takes a long time for him to accept his own voice again and gets where he is now.
He has studied Dentistry in Ukraine when he was young but because of the language barriers, he changes to studied Classical music there instead. His goal is to combine Classical and Pop music together to introduce to those who didn't know what Classical music is. His vocal range is very wide and his breath control is very good. He is a polite, funny, and humble guy. He can sing at least over 12 different languages. He can even sing 6 different voices in one song. His music has so many different genres.
If you are willing to dig into his performances, you will be amazed by his talents. A lot of music can heal people's bodies but not many can heal people,'s, souls. Zhou Shen's music is one of them that can heal your souls.
A lot of Dimash's fans also recommend Zhou Shen to those reactors who reacted to Dimash to react. Some people compare to both of them and I think they both are great performers but with different styles. Nothing to compare to. Thank you for reacting to Zhou Shen's performance.

in reference to your point about the violin or musical instrument being able to convey emotions other than just a melody, that’s how Zhou Shen uses his voice, like an instrument in harmony with the rest of the instruments, and conveys emotions. That’s why people always have goosebumps and tears when they hear him.

Zhou is pronounced sort of like Joe for English speakers. Zhou Shen is the pinyin rendering of his name 周深. Pinyin spellings are not always easy to read correctly unless you are familiar with the conventions. Both characters are first tone. Zhou Shen is an amazing singer. His star is rising in China as he seems to be finding the kind of songs which suit his voice.

I'm sorry for DImash fans, actually I trid a lot to hear him, okay his technique is outstanding for sure but there is something missing from his singging.
I found Zhoushen and Hua chenyu, both of them expels, radiates emotion, unspeakble, magical, mesmerizing, I more into passion and charms of the singer.
You don't have to be sorry for us, we love Dimash , as millions of his fans arround the world. You don't get Dimash's passion and emotion, thats fine, just like I don't get them from Zhou shen

People have commented when he does a song in 2 languages, he seems to always sing in Chinese in a deeper voice. He did that in Memory as well (he wrote Chinese lyrics to the melody in the second half). It’s interesting idk if it’s a personal choice or somehow Chinese is easier for him as native language to sing deeper?

be honesty, dimash's skill of opera is more expert, zhou's voice is more cristal just as you said, so they have little bit difference, we can enjoy both
I love Zhou Shen almost as much as Dimash! I also agree with what you said about the instruments... Go check another guy (he also features in those Chinese shows) by the name of Henry Lau and see what he does with a violin. And usually he combines it with his other skills as a singer and dancer and pianist too ! Suggestion : check out his rendition of "Despacito" and some of the Michael Jackson songs...
