  • Sometimes I have these curiosities and I go exploring. I really wanted to participate in a religious ceremony in the Sagrada Familia. Not sure why. I think my expectations were a bit too high. But well...The place is magic! Gaudi's work is hard to describe in words. This man created something marvelous. Because I get to see it every day from my terrace I do want to be able to find a way to go inside more often without having to purchase a ticket. Now I know how and you do too.
Also, the Sagrada Familia is a basilica, not a church. Here's the difference: A cathedral is the principal church of a diocese, while basilica is the name given to certain churches granted special privileges by the pope.

Hi Tuana! Yes, unfortunately only Sunday around 8AM. Mesa starts at 9AM. Also please keep in mind it's a bit cold in the morning inside. :) If you wanna see Park Guell as well you can get in for free 30 min before opening and 30 min before closing. I recommend before as it gets dark afterward and you won't be able to see it well. (The park is free to visit only at the place where the salamanders are you have to pay) If you cannot make it on Sunday book tickets online. It's usually better.
