That's a great story. Nice when a man has a special history like that!

    I have a pair of STS original Vaquero's. 45Colt -7 1/2" and a .44Mag Bisley Vaquero 5 1/2".
    Got a New Vaquero, .45Colt 5 1/2".
    I prefer the Original Vaquero.
Enjoyed the family story very much. Thanks for sharing 😁👍🦶🪶🇺🇸

Nice looking Vaquero. Kinda like a Bar Keep model with that short barrel. I remember when the cowboy action shooting was getting popular back in the early 90’s. I received some magazines about it, but in my area, there was zero clubs around and I definitely didn’t have the income to support it either. Great Video Sir.

Thanks. Yeah, I didn’t have the funds the. For it either. In the mid 2000s I used to love the show Cowboys that came on. It was a show all about cowboy action shooting.

Nice. Definitely not a bad carry gun.

Good looking pistol. I want a birdshead grip and three inch barrel for a ccw.

      It’s definitely a concealable revolver.

Nice pistol. Possibly a gentleman gunfighter gun. Maybe that finish is many fine coats of lacquer over wood. Nice cross draw pistol.Ahm ya huckleberry.

It may be. I bought the gun new but only had it a short time before letting it get away. Now that I have it back I’ll take the grips off and see.

The story alone makes it irreplaceable. Enjoy it. The only thing about the vaquero is... ( bet you know what I'm gonna say) +P capability that's what ruger know for. If it to do so, don't later make unable to. As for gotta ways nope. Once they've gone there gone. Lots of regretted trades though. Two biggest ones 80's Ruger redhawk, and Marlin 444 with the 24" barrel. Don't get me started on my two bolt action. 35 Whelen's.

Yeah, that is why I prefer the original vaqueros over the new vaqueros. It’s rare that I let a gun go in the first place… even more rare that I’m able to get that exact one back.

    Brother Joe .
I have my Grandfather's 1911 Remington Rand from WWll .
My Father had it sold it to his brother.
My Uncle sold it to his Son .
My Cousin sold it to me .
When I stopped being a Diesel technician in the Early 2000 .
I owed my Snap-on dealer a lot of money
I did not want to leave my job and still owe him money .
So I gave him my Granddads 1911 too pay off my bill .
We stayed friends and in contact with each other over the years.
One day he called me and said .
Hay ran the numbers someone engraved in this 1911 and it comes back to so & so .
I said yes that's my Grandfather.
    That was his gun .
He said you should have your Grandfathers gun Not me .
Then he sold it back to me for the price of my original bill.
I will never sell it again .

I prefer single action revolvers also. I already sold my new Glock 21.🤦🏻‍♂️ I'm just not meant to have an autoloader.🤷‍♂️

    • @JWheeler331
      @JWheeler331  Před 3 měsíci +1

I have several auto loaders but definitely prefer the single actions. I tend to do that with ARs. I’ll build one or buy one thinking to myself…. Okay, I want an AR for this or that…. Then not long after I’ll end up trading it for a single action pair or something.
