Flanders and Mrs. Krabappel just never made a lick of sense to me. I feel like this relationship is the perfect example of what happens when a show is on the air for too long and the writers just start throwing things against a wall to see what sticks.
What didn't make sense? She's been with every other guy in Springfield and wanted to date someone who wasn't a jerk and he's lonely and nice and finally let his guard down they were good together
@@thadonmel5352 For one thing, Ned is a devout Christian and Mrs. Krabappel is not. With all the effort Ned spends shielding his boys from worldly influences, it doesn't make any sense at all that he would marry someone who doesn't even share his worldview. Simply put, saying that Edna dated everyone else in Springfield is not a good reason for her to be with Ned Flanders. That is poor logic and bad writing. And it also doesn't explain NED'S motivations for being with her. The fact that they literally let viewers vote on it basically proves my point about them throwing stuff to the wall to see what sticks.
@@ghostchick5275 Well I disagree opposites attract and I believe them together would've made for some interesting plots if the actor who played Edna were still alive. She could've helped losen him up and enjoy life while Ned would bring her closer to God.
