- Having owned a #Mini Cooper S R56 for more than four years now I figured it was about time to make a resumé about a couple of things I really like about this sporty little hatchback.

I've had my R56 for 3+ years. It is absolutely the most enjoyable, fun car I've ever had. My very first adult car was a 1979 Mazda RX-7. If I drove it today I'm sure I'd like it, but the MINI is a different animal. What I didn't know about MINI is that you are buying into a culture of expression, by mods, individualization, and attitude. It's like customizing your iPhone wallpapers, lockscreens, and sounds etc. The difference is you crank up your MINI and feel what makes it special and unique with every drive. I love your top 9 list. The doors definitely give me a secure feeling, like I'm about to go off in a tank. I'd also add that driving a MINI is the true feel of motoring, as opposed to driving a mini van, or station wagon. Sport mode is really cool. I wish I could keep the aggressive steering all the time. Thanks for another wonderful video. I'm going to work tomorrow full sport mode!
That's what is so great about the Mini community: there is a common understanding of these cars' value. In the end it's all about what brings us joy 😊

I worked at a car wash and drove to the 14th floor of the parking lot. The minis were so much fun. 🤓🇧🇷

Nice video, I have a stage 2 R56 N18 amd a I don’t have any issues at all. One of the best things of these cars is the interior, at some alcantara and it’s the closest thing that you can have that looks like a Singer without spending 1 million dollars
I like the quirkiness of my clubman with it’s many doors. Mine is chocolate brown and silver with the s-spokes. And i love the full leather tan interoir. I like that mine is N/A. I gave it full leather floor mats and other details which makes it feel very luxurious. It makes people stare like they’ve never seen it before. It has been called a Mini S-Class! More Mini S-Cooper… the road holding in corners is also a big favourite. The added space despite the small size of this model.

@@KiaraShifts i am done yet, planning an Öhlins suspension kit, the JCW brake set, better tires, an exhaust valve for a bit more sound. Oil catch can. The looks are just the easiest. I am not looking for more speed, I am looking to maintain speed…

Das doppelte Kippen des Dachfensters bei dem R56 fand ich auch immer klasse. Bei dem F56 öffnet sich leider nur noch eins.
I just got a 2024, it has the 2 roof windows but only the front one opens now. Got it because it's the last year they are supposed to have the manual Transmation. I like the blue on yours.
That puff of smoke from the tailpipe.. tell tell sign that you need valve seals replaced just like I do in my N14 JCW clubman.

I had the opportunity drive Cooper S models of R56 and F56 gen. Both gave me goose bumps. It is indeed something you have to feel! Hope you can enjoy your beautiful car a long time.
I have a question about the KW setup. I have an E87 LCI m-sport. I am not sure to go for KW V2 or V2 street comfort. What do you advice for a sporty daily in a mostly city environment?
Thank you for your comment! Personally, I chose the KW V2 Inox-Line because I don't mind losing a bit of comfort for that super sporty drive once in a while. I daily my Mini and have no issues, I even find the ride more comfortable than my previously installed lowering springs. If you're easily annoyed by small bumps in the road, consider the street comfort option. But even then I'm not sure if that suspension would make a huge difference compared to your original suspension, considering it is already sporty.

Hätte dein Mini noch kein Betriebsmittel Lekkagen ? Bei meiner R58 war BM Lekkage am Wasserpumpe und Thermostathause.
Habe beide selber getauscht, war nicht die tollste Job.
Das habe ich schon hinter mir! Thermostatgehäuse habe ich selber getauscht, gleich danach kam die Wasserpumpe!
@@KiaraShifts Schade, aber dass sind Schwachstellen von die 2te Generation New Mini. Cool dass du selber das Thermostathaus getauschst hast.
