Exzellenter Klang, einzigartig ; klänge ohne das breite Spektrum der Lingualpfeifen nicht annähernd so vollumfänglich - perfekt. Kann so vollendet und in diesen unübertroffenen Klangfarben auf keiner Silbermannorgel der Welt dargeboten werden.
Schöne lutherische Kirchenmusik, ohne modischen schnickschnack ,
Eine hervorragende und eindrucksvolle "Praetorius-gemäße" Interpretation. Chapeau!

The finest few minutes on the whole of CZcams. The finest organ of all, a wonderful Lutheran tune, and a singer up to the job. What more need one ask?
Ich bin überwältigt von der Übersichtlichkeit und Ordnung, in der ausgerechnet mein Vorfahre(?) Michael Praetorius den heutigen Montag zu einem Sonntag machen darf.
Diese Orgel ist sicher die kostbarste und best erhaltene aus der Spätrenaissance - ein Wunderwerk, auch was die Schreinerarbeiten angeht. Und erst der Klang!
Actually I'll rephrase that: simply the most magical five minutes on CZcams.
By far the most authentic Regal stop I have heard on an organ, as opposed to an actual Regal. The Hinz-Ahrend in Leers' Regal comes a very close second.

Ich schließe mich der Meinung an. Wunderbar gespielt ! Wunderbar Gesungen! Eine wunderbare Intonierung des Lieds. Wird sicher auch bei meiner Hochzeit eine Platz in der Liederliste finden. Mal schauen vielleicht Singe ich sogar selber.

Alles korrekt - oder fast: Ich glaube - aus guten Gründen, deren Ausführung hier zu weit gehen würde - dass Choräle in dieser Zeit, und auch noch viel Später, beiweitem nicht so schnell gesungen wurden....das hat übrigens rein gar nichts mit der "metrischen Theorie" von Taalsma zu tun.

What kind of organ is it ?
This organ, called Compenius organ, the oldest that is still functional today is a marvel thanks to the royal house of Denmark who took care of it over the centuries! He is at Frederiksborg Castle!

Variations of the original text by Niklaus Decius (1485-1550) may be found in almost every Lutheran Hymnal. Decius adapted the tune from plainsong. Here is a translation of the first verse by Catherine Winkworth (1829-1879):
All glory be to God on high,
Who hath our race befriended;
To us no harm shall now come nigh,
The strife at last is ended;
God showeth his good will to men,
And peace shall reign on earth again;
O thank him for his goodness.
There are two more current translations in the Evangelical Lutheran Worship, which I'm reluctant to share because they're under copyright. The first consists of 3 stanzas which may be sung in place of the Gloria in setting 5 of the Lutheran Mass. The second consists of 4 stanzas as Hymn No. 410, especially appointed for Trinity Sunday.
