It's not that Anand's storyline is the most tragic in movie history. But the story telling,the screenplay, dialogue delivery, brilliant direction and fabulous actors made it such a marvellous masterpiece.
I saw this movie when I was only15 years old in 1971 . Since then I must have seen at least 20 times. This is one movie which can really never die. I saw it again today and in today in COVID time this movie gives a message for those every one who have lost their dear ones.

I was feeling low...and dont know why I felt like watching some old movie..I wanted to escape my present in such a way that I didn't even want to see movies of the present times..I asked my Dad and he recommended to watch this.. knowing you have something incurable is just hell..but anand proved it otherwise..for as long as he could live, he lived every moment of life...like going to any random person because he got that vibration...just so energetic all the time..never talking about heartbreak oh god..Anand is such a strong character.
Also that scene where all the gods are worshipped for Anand's life..at the end..prayers are the only rope of hope one can holdon to when even doctors cant go anything about a particular disease. I hope any kind of incurable disease gets treated..even today there are so many diseases that arent curable. One keeps going to one doctor and another but the outcome is just nil. Prayers and belief are the only thing that can keep one alive even when the body is dying inside. Miracles happen. I believe. And I'll never stop believing it. I hope anyone and everyone who is suffering is relieved from their pain snd get to live a very vey very happy life.
