I was thinking 5* Magik, then thinking that they'll release her as a 6 or 7* right after. Now as far as 6* ascension, if I get 2 options I gotta do my R5 max sig X-23 and probably my max sig R4 (soon to be my 2nd R5) Peni. She's an absolute tank both offensively and defensively and easy to use
Rich, this is great! Thank you! Another suggested tip when considering which champs to ascend - place priority on champs that require lots of resources to be great - awakening & high sig - as those 7* resources will be rare for a very long time. So we're talking Hercules, Knull, Thing, Guardian, Aegon, Omega Red, Valkyrie, Namor, etc

I think a good way to approach this is by looking at your maxed 5 stars and see who you will not rank beyond rank 3 as six star then right now and then ascend them.... as for six stars, its easier just the top broken ones, agree ?
I think the best ascension for 5*s would obviously be Magik or Quake.
But there’s also the aspect of the carina challenges. For example the last vol 1 carina challenge I have left is to complete labyrinth of legends with a 4* star lord. So obviously star lord would be my pick for my first 4* ascension.
I imagine this will be the same for many people wether it be the 4* inhumans quest or 4* Canadian team or the 3* robots realm of legends challenge etc etc.
6* ascension has to be Herc there is no other option even close. He’s so powerful and very useful for everyday questing, BG, incursions and endgame content like EoP and Grandmasters gauntlet and he definitely won’t be a 7* anytime soon.
Funnily enough I’ve never actually pulled a Hercules from a crystal. I got him from the 2021 cyber weekend deal (along with kitty pryde) for 24,000 units that I painstakingly grinded for in incursions. And now my Herc is at max sig rank 5. It’s crazy to think that I would have never had him if I didn’t get that deal.
I agree with all this besides Herc being the only 6* Option for ascension. I think him being your first choice for ascension is actually a waste. He’s so good he doesn’t need that 22% boost, I’d give it another strong champ that you like to play that probably won’t be a 7* for Atleast awhile. Everyone will want to ascend herc at some point but he definitely doesn’t need to be the first one you ascend.
carina rewards are so outdated. it will be a complete waste of dust to ascend a 4* SL
@@sham8996 it’s not like there’s a better use. And I agree that the rewards for vol 1 carina challenges are completely outdated but I am a completionist and having 8/9 challenges bothers me a lot.

@@Bear_Duckfair enough bro but that logic don’t add up. The fact that you think Herc doesn’t need the ascension is the exact reason to rank him up. Who wouldn’t want to make the most OP champ even more OP. Plus, he’ll be one of the last 7* champs to be added. He’s the perfect choice.
Mantis doesn’t make a lot of sense being that high. She’s already a 7

This is perfect. Not everyone is Paragon. Some of us only have 1 or zero 7 stars. This list is awesome. Ascension for 4,5 & 6 Stars is great. Makes champs you just can’t seem to pull useable. Thanks for the info
I'm cav and still heavily rely on 5*, would you guys recommend ascending 5* mantis?
I will love to see a list of Champs who are best at Sig level 100+ since I'm still in a position where my 6*s are well below that rate but I have a lot of 5* signature stones and some fully 200 5*s. Excited for getting that lower tier dust to ascend some of those that would benefit the most. But since I've mostly left my 5*s behind and my 6*s are never at that rate, I don't truly know ALL the champs that are at their best maxed sig.

APOC makes a lot of sense for quest teams. If you have both 6 and 5 star, then u can create two horseman on one team!
Nice idea. I’d actually only create 1 Horseman and leave my most powerful APOC with 4 charges for max power. Max power APOC > Any Horseman

@@KenS99agreed. I definitely enjoyed playing with the horseman mechanic but over time I realized it’s not usually worth it. Apoc alone handles so much with his variety of debuffs, immunities, tankiness, and huge Sp2.
I wish Kabam would put tier 1 ascending dust in the 1-4* arena rewards, and tier 2 ascending dust in 4-7* arena rewards. Just 2-5 dust per level of winning.
Human torch should be S tier. Even at rank 3 he is still taking out end game content with the best of them. A 6 star ascended torch would be viable for the next 2 years minimum in both BG, AW, and questing. The same cannot be said about a vast majority of the champs listed up there.
Uhh just realised...... how is ascension gonna factor in variant 4 progress?
The one with rarity gates (the 4* or 5* one quests are gonna crazy with ascended champs)
I was thinking of Magik too but knowing Kabam, they'll release a 6* Quake & Magik after seeing everyone waste their Dust on them 😅

I think King groot should be in S list. just imagine a R5 sig 200 Ascended KG how powerful and sustainable will be. He could auto fight even the difficult Quests and still be at 100% health. AQ will be a joke for him. add ouchies mastery and he will be a beast
I only recently got king groot and awakes him with 120 sig and no joke he is a beast, was able to get to thronebreaker yesterday and he carried. Definitely ascending him when I’m able too
Criminally underrated by lots of people still. Incursions MVP as well. I have 6* r5 max sig and he can't die.

I’m going to be looked down on by the skilled tier community, but I’m going to ascend 5* and 6* Hercules. Throw on the recoils and bang through anything.

I'm conflicted, do you go for the champs you rely on day in and day out or bang it on someone you like to play that doesn't really cut it anymore? Blade & Hood are 2 in that cat for me.
Hood is @#$&ing amazing as is. He's a staple in my war team with KP.

@@leroyjenkinz9791 he was my 1st maxed 5* and I used him every day for about 2 years, but as the content grew tougher and I had better options I rarely use him these days. I did prefer him before his buff.
As a Sentry Main with r5 6* Sentry, I will double down and ascend him the moment I can

yes but for a 6* it will take ages before you could Ascend a 2nd. Till it happens we will have more R2/R3 7*. So the first one is important to chose wisely

I think my first will be gladiator he's one of my fav Champs but if I don't get a 4or5 I think wong or cosmic ghostrider they are my top 2 Champs
Ronin is the most underrated champ. My r4 5* put in work in DLX chalenge. Keeping the opponent stunned against the wall had me laughing like a mad man 😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣
My 6* r5 sig 200 Ronin was MVP for the DLX Challenge. Lol

He’s not underrated. Everyone knowledgeable in the game uses him for a ton of shit. He’s the #1 most used stun lock champ in the entire game😂

Ascending is a big BS cause it only raises the base attack and health without any CR hence an ascended 6* r5 champ would not hit nearly as much as a 7* r2 champ although Kabam is trying to sell that they are at the same level. Kabam basically abusing the players lack of knowledge about the CR.
Im pretty sure that galan ascension is useless cause the explode dmg doesnt scale with attack rating at least not with the nodes boost so I guess same goes with ascension also
Galan special damage scale with ascensione..my r4 now can do 242k
Ascending Magneto red is a good deal, specially for ACT 6.2.1

It's their maximum power. You can rank a 5* higher than a 4* so at max level they're way more powerful.
My first instinct is to ascend my 6* R5/200 Wolverine first.
Hercules is first and it’s not close. I doubt we see a 7 star Herc. Similar to how we haven’t seen a 6 star quake.

Rich, I think you forget that iron man is very likely to be a 7 star bcos in the next update as of this comment, there are 2 new champions that would be released, and since gladiator is new but iron man is not, its likely that both champions would be released as 7 stars
Therefore iron man is most likely going to be a 7 star champion
Do we get the most out of the ascension if we apply it to rank 5 six star? Wouldn't it be the same if we apply it to a rank 4 six star THEN rank the six star to rank 4 in the later future?
it doesn't matter as it add flat 22% attack health on top of base attack. so once you rankup it will continue to add that extra % on top of it.

Don’t know wether to ascent my 6* kitty or 5* herc, they’re both awakened I just feel like I can do any content with the 6* kitty so maybe ascending her would be overkill

@@ToniXD_16 but is 7* common ? And awakened 7* ? I dont think we should being them down just because we can have in 7* , the main reason being that a rk 2 7* is slightly (about 20-30%) stronger than rk 5 6* , plus high sig 6* will work better than some low sig 7* .

It's basically the same but a way to rank up a Champs at the max lvl.
Honestly i think ascesion is too late to the game im sure most people arent gonna care about ascending anything lower then a 6* i personally am not gonna use a magik or quake and othe 5* when there are alot of rank 4 6* materials all over the place why would i go back a rank to rank 3 6*

Both are great options but as we don't know how much Tier 2 primordial dust we'll be getting (which is needed to ascend a 6* champ), I'd wait and just focus on 5* Champs you don't have or don't foresee yourself getting as a 6*

It shouldn't, neither passive fury effects or class advantage influences harvest burst dmg, i don't think that ascensions will do something about it. Same story with omega red

I'm gonna ascend my 5* quake and my 6* claire voyant. Shes my next mystic r5 and I'm doing it cause shes one of my favorite champs in the game. So I would say do who you like.

I ascended my Domino because I use her as a blowtorch with her incinerate synergy, and hence I play her more than anyone else.
This isn’t a hard decision to make, not knowing how much t2 dust we will be able to get the smart decision is to ascend Hercules and kitty first as kabam have basically said they are too powerful and they would have nerfed them if rebalancing was a thing back then. We aren’t seeing either as 7 stars any time soon if ever
