I’ve caught a couple of your videos and as a music instructor I have to say I really enjoy your techniques. Thanks so much and keep doing what you’re doing.
christopher davis-shannon Thank you, I learned something. I hadn’t seen that football holding 4 notes before. Makes since that those inside of football are whole notes. They are the only notes in the measure. I hadn’t realized you were just doing the same stroke there as throughout the Song. Usually when I see whole notes, I hold. But in this case we strum to the 4 count. Got it. I need to learn to improvise. Hopefully for me it will come. Thank you.
I would like to know the secret for having a nail on the index strumming finger. I use my pads consistently with thumb and index as..I have no nail on index strum finger. Strings wear it down faster than it can grow.
christopher davis-shannon Nice idea. But I have no usable nail on index finger. Strings just wear it down. I have to play with index pad. I have to use my thumb for the usual index finger nail down stroke. I have no problem with thumb nail.
Nice, but I have a question...Why say/put 8th notes if you're playing a syncopated rhythm? Don't you need some kind of "swing feel" description near your (missing) time signature?

Love your stuff, my friend! What is that uke you’re using? It sounds wonderful.
Nice. I just started on 12th st. Rag. I 'm just looping the first 2 bars of melody A. Right now it sounds more like 3rd St. Rag.....a little slow. ha

Yup :) chords are C D7 and G7
@@Banjoleletinman thanks! I am happy I found your channel!
Could you explain your ending. Do the notes in the football shape actually have something to do with the ending strum?

christopher davis-shannon I may try that. Maybe I can get used to it. Thanks for suggesting, I tried false nails. They didn’t stick at all.

Am I right, that you are not actually playing eights but they are syncopated?
Swung eighth notes
