Despicably Good?⎮A Minions: The Rise of Gru Review

- So recently I went to see Minion: The Rise of Gru.... and I wasn't expecting too much. Just a funny toilet humour extravaganza... and that is what I got... but.... it was also much better than I was anticipating, and whilst the story was kind of weak.... it's character work soared... more inside.
I believe most of the hate for minions comes from the aggressive marketing and not the actual movies. Their use in promotions and memes is like an anti bee movie where the movie was good but the memes were not

Here in the US There was a free early screening of the movie
I got free tickets and went to see it cuz i figure it would be some dumb movie i could make fun of
But surprisingly it was nice
Better than the other movies besides the first despicable me movie
I think it's like the bad guys where it's a decent story and an enjoyable watch but has those minor flaws and some stuff that's not groundbreaking but ya don't need a groundbreaking film to be a good watch
in my opinion, The Bad guys is cinema quality with grounbreaking styles in a moderately dark tone movie.
Finally somebody that doesn't show a universal hatred on these movies just because it's trendy to. Yes, the minions themselves are annoying, and the culture changes these movies did and the fanbase surrounding them is stupid, but, come on! Minecraft's community literally milks the game dry of it's money juice, but does this mean that Minecraft itself is bad? Hell no! Look at these movies as movies, not as a stupidass subculture.
Well it’s okay I watched them all when they came out so I’m caught up and I’ll see the next one when it comes out in July 1 I believe
I don’t think this movie will be any good but it does seem like brainless fun and that’s all these movie ever wanted to be
I've seen it and its actually pretty good, especially if you grew up with the original movies.
I thought it was insane, seriously there was an epic fight based on legendary zodiac
too bad Wild Knuckles ended up in jail...
You know what I watched this movie and really enjoyed it as much as the first movie they are both great films! :D

@@arandomthingintheabyss2062 Well, technically in its purest form, all films are made for money, even the most artistic cinema passion project concept with movjng pictures made to the big screen like indie films, they are still made for money deep down.

I liked this movie. I liked the first one, but this one was better in my opinion. Is it going to be a masterpiece remembered for the ages? Nope. But I enjoy it. :-)

The thing I disliked the most (spoiler alert) is when that Disco lady turns into an asian dragon and starts brathing fire. Western dragons breathe fire, asian's are seen as water creatures

i've always been a fan of the minions, i have a lot of the minions merch and maybe my bias may be getting in the way, but i think you should watch it. i get that you may find it too childish and boring for your liking, but we musn't forget that the minions is a children's movie so you should probably have expected that. overall it was enjoyable for me, so i hope it'll be enjoyable for others too
