  • Dr. Rogers continues preaching through the Book of Romans in this sermon on Romans 11:25-36 entitled, "God's Plan for Israel (Part 3)."
The Church needs to have a proper understanding of God’s plan for Israel. We also need to have a proper perspective and attitude toward the Jews. That is, we need to have a biblical understanding and perspective, not an ill-formed opinion based on the unfounded teachings of this world. When we have a biblical understanding of God’s plan and the proper perspective toward the Jewish people, we ought to then bring forward a proper response, a worshipful reaction to God.
God’s promises to the people of Israel have not been set aside nor have they been nullified in any way. “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29). God’s plan for Israel is gracious, faithful, and immeasurably glorious. His plan includes the salvation of non-Jewish people, and also a future where the Jews turn from rejecting Jesus Christ to a glad-hearted reception of Him as Lord and Savior.
In Romans 11:25-36, The Apostle Paul concludes his section of teaching on God’s plan for Israel by giving us two concluding insights into God’s plan. Then, he teaches us three essential aspects to a proper perspective of the Jewish people. Finally, he concludes with an exclamation of praise, a celebration of the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God.
