Kriesberg's sounding better than ever and this is a killer tune! I like that he didn't play all those arpeggio patterns that he usually falls back on. And thank heavens he hasn't decided to play country music on a Tele.
I love these guys, I have one of their albums (Equilibrium). Kreisberg is one of the best around and I love the way Hoenig always looks like he's trying to deal with an infestation problem on his kit, he's a beast.
although I am a guitar man and so naturally am in awe with Kreisberg's incredible talent, Hoenig is a guy that bring to mind the idea of devil (think Paganini). How does he do it? He is the devil! That may be why top predators like Kreisberg use/play/record with him.

Morten, You have a great band! I wish I could solo on your rhythm section. No wonder Jon feels so right. He plays better with you guys than on his own recordings. But this is just my opinion. Congrats on your overall musicality.
music is about soul and feel to me. I know kreiberg has all the credentials in the world and his technical abilities are unmatched≤ but at the end of the day it just sounds like a man trying to find all notes that are outside of the box. it sounds like an exercise of of exploring altered scales and flattened 13th and sharpened 9ths and everything in between. At the end of the day, give me Jerry Garcia playing a 2 chord change all day. But if you are reading the comments of some obscure jazz video, you probably think I'm just a putz and are the type of person who has intense conversations intellectualizing jazz music. and yes, to most people , jonathan kriesberg is an obscure jazz musician to 98% of the population.
Anything with Jonathon Kriesberg and Ari Hoenig is bound to impress. Kriesberg's technical precision and time are absolute.
