Hello everyone! Thanks so much for watching and leaving comments!! ^_^ As always, I'll be responding as much as I can over the next few days. I've seen many of you have left comments asking why I don't pause during the video if I miss information. I try to never pause during my reactions because I'm not screen recording the video I'm watching, which means if I paused I'd have a LOT of editing to do. When I edit I end up watching the full video 3 to 4 times anyway, so I never miss the information on those second, third, and forth watches. I hope that clears that up! AND a news➡️ A Chinese Carat was stranded due to the severe floods in the Henan province of China, the fan was saved by rescuers after they noticed the bright Caratbong she was using as a beacon.
"The disaster is over and everyone is safe. I want to tell S.Coups the lightstick really is extremely bright. The rescuers found me immediately", the fan wrote on Weibo.
Another Chinese fan also wrote on Weibo that she had been able to use her SEVENTEEN lightstick as a torchlight throughout the night, after her mobile phone ran out of power.

Actually, The individual fandom name just made by member during the fansign, some carat ask each member what name of the fandom if he has a fandom. So It's how the each fandom name maded, it's not officially but we carat use the fandom name just for fun😊
Yeah! There was a time it was a thing in fansigns in general, so other kpop groups had been asked by their own fans too. It was all for fun and it was cute to have like a personal name as we all have our own biases.

Yes, they aren't official, but we still use them among carats when we introduce ourselves to other carats. For eg I would always say I am a Horangdan, and they know right away I am a Hoshi biased. You definitely not need to memorise them.

fun fact : svt renewed their contracts last year & the main protagonist behind it was none other than Mingyu! his strong will to move forward together as one team & his positive mindset really spread amongst the members. mingyu once said : “if you want to go fast, go alone. if you want to go far, go together. as long as i’m w my members, ntg scares me” truly best boy.
w his amazing dancing & rapping skills & exceptional raspy vocals he delivers every line he gets SO well that it ends up becoming the “killing parts”.
he’s a man of diverse talents outside his profession as well. he’s known for being a Jack Of All Trades, there’s hardly anything he can’t do & i’m not even exaggerating! & also known as one of the big brains of svt.
despite being so talented he has remained humble, always so mild tempered & easy going. he’s really soft hearted & never holds grudges hence gets teased a lot by his members. 😭he’s love personified, who looks at everyone so fondly like he has loved them in another life. his love for his members has no limit, his passion for his career, his desire to live life fiercely. such an honest & altruistic soul.
sorry this was so long! 😭 seventeen truly is a group no one will ever regret getting into. an all rounder group who lack at ntg!! their bond & love for each other is so real, they’re every carats’s home.❤️ looking forward to more of them in the future!!

Seventeen is such a whole group package. They are talented which all of them are known for their singing and dancing, funny, wholesome and their friendship with each other is a bless. They always makes carat felt being loved and comfort us a lot.
They truly the self made group where they worked hard in promoting seventeen by themselves back then bcs of their company financial problem until they are known as the top 3 group called EBS (Exo, Bts, Seventeen) since 2016 which is one year after their debut. Like they do many live stream since predebut, performing without in ear monitor (sometimes they tape earphone) due to financial problem, all of them participate in song and choreo production, Seungkwan went to many variety show just to promote seventeen and many more.
They sacrificed a lot. Until now, they still worked hard and very participate for their songs, performance and even their variety programme bcs they want to give the best and makes Carat proud
I'd say their hard work has paid off. They have an amazing fandom, and from what I've seen, really great music and performances. :)
Just a heads-up since i dont know how familiar you are with Going Seventeen, but each episode/theme is always split into 2 parts so to watch the whole thing it would be about 40-45 minutes total. Also to make a recommendation, for new fans i think these episodes are really fun and not too confusing to follow:

though there is no cross over in units they do have songs where it’s unit plus members (e.g. fronting = hiphop unit + woozi and hoshi) they also have songs where it will be 6 members and then a different song on the album having the remaining 7 on another song. and woozi, vernon where part of the og performance unit since they are great dancers and dino is a great rapper so did songs with hiphop unit predebut. woozi was actually given the choice by the company wether he wanted to be part of the vocal or performance unit.
so what i'm hearing is they're insanely talented kings. love that lol

Three dance practices/choreography videos that are interesting to watch together are 'Don't Wanna Cry', 'Without You', and 'Clap'. The ending pose/formation of Don't Wanna Cry is the starting pose for Without You, ending position for Without you is the starting position for Clap. So they all merge nicely.

@@SashaMarie Don't Wanna Cry came out first, on their mini album 'Al1' in May 2017, while Without You and Clap came out together on the 'Teen, Age' album in November 2017. I assume they were working on all of them at the same time though~ EDIT: The choreo for Without You is very low-key (mostly walking, lol) but then the energy picks up for Clap.

It’s so fun watching you go on this journey. I feel like I just went on it myself not too long ago. I’ve only recently reached the point where I can name and identify them all. There’s always two in every group that take me a while to tell apart. Jeonghan and Joshua just took me forever, probably because I was saving GOSE as my next sad time comfort show. If you need to take your time to enjoy them, then I’d definitely recommend taking it. I’d honestly rather people take their time to enjoy groups rather than rush through all their content to meet viewers wishes. Love your videos, thanks for the reaction!
I tend to fall face first into new obsessions and devour as much as possible all at once. It's honestly been stressful trying NOT to watch things and wait until I can record and watch it with you guys. ^_^ But I'll definitely take breaks when I need to.
Now, seventeen have 4 official leader which general (Scoups), hiphop (Scoups) , performance (Hoshi), vocal (Woozi) and booseoksoon (Dk) leader. But the 3 leader from each main unit had released two songs called Change up (2017) and cheers (2022). Meanwhile Booseoksoon had debuted with Just Do It (2018) and comeback with their first album 'Second Wind' (2023).
Seventeen also does reverse unit during Caratland (Seventeen Anual Fan meeting) where they perform other unit songs. They also have songs with mixed member from each unit too. So, they have many different units. But the official is the 3 main units plus with the Leader and Booseoksoon unit. Btw, I enjoy your reaction. Very nice☺️. personally, i really enjoy the way you dissect choreographies and i also think dance analysis would be an easier video than going seventeen reaction since seventeen talk a lot and it's usually hard to keep up with them :") but it's a great way to get to know the members and the various dynamics in the group!
some info about individual fandom names: they were all created by members (except for minghao's) but they are mostly used by non-korean fans (i don't think the members remember the names themselves lol) so congratulations on becoming a gyuldaengie..?
That's a great point! I'd like to try a few Going Seventeen episodes on my channel, and if it doesn't work out I will be doing the dance analysis regardless! There's a lot of choreography to catch up on. :)

Some episodes have multiple parts and for some there’s also episodes form each season, just a heads up bc it can be confusing tihi
Also they will ofc mainly do group songs or are split into their units, BSS would be a crossover unit tho and sometimes they’ll have a random number of members from different units for one song…or for concerts the hip hop team will perform a vocal unit team and so on, but I mean at the end of the day they’re just 13 members in one group 🤷🏼♀️
Hi Sasha, so happy to see you. There are also a few sub-units --the Leaders with S Coups, Woozie and Hoshi is one sub-unit and the 2nd is the Gag Trio with Dk, Seungkwan and Hoshi. I've also recently seen the Maknae Trio of the 3 youngest members. Yes--there are cross-overs. Thanks for this great reaction.

Technically they don't have crossovers but everyone basically can do multiple roles in a song. BUT they do unit switch for caratland (their fanmeeting) where a unit would perform other unit's songs

Three sub-unit leaders. The GROUP leader is S.Coups. Technically one can't be part of more than one MAIN group, but they have MANY combination groups that crossover members from other groups. Dino is the most versatile, as he could be in all three; but because he's a choreographer for many dances, completely choreographed "Fallin Flower" (he learned from his parents who are professional dance instructors), he was added to the Performance Team.
That's such a cool fact about Dino!!
small correction: dino was the sole choreographer for "Flower", a b-side from their "Teen, Age" album; not "Falllin Flower" which is one of their Japanese releases (which is famous for its choreo, so it makes sense to accidentally mix them up!)

in my experience watching people reaction, they tend to remember the members name and personality by watching chronologically rather than picking random episode. you tend to learn the inside jokes more plus their personalities!

Sorry though if no one pointed this out yet, but that original tiktok you saw was a slowed down version from their concert to deepen their voices. It was of Mingyu and S.Coups.
While I enjoyed the edit originally, I kind of don't appreciate it now because it can give new fans the wrong idea, also I get lowkey worried idols see edits wherein their voice/body is altered and may feel self-conscious about previous performances.
I can definitely see where your coming from with the concern. I guess my view is the edited version is what brought me to Seventeen, and without it I might have missed out on discovering them. So while I know now that it's not their authentic voices, it still brought me to them and that makes me really thankful for it. :)

- You didn't name only Jun, Seungkwan, Wonwoo, and Dino (well, you mentioned him later!);
- so yes, “slip into the diamond life” is our welcome phrase for new Carats and people who want to learn about SEVENTEEN.
- Our lightstick (Caratbong) currently has 3 versions, but some of us don't really like its design because it doesn't have the right color palette. And Caratbong is so bright because Cheol (Coups) was worried that Carats were coming home late from the concert.
- SVT officially has three leaders: Scoups is the General Leader for Seventeen and Carats, as well as for the hip-hop unit; Woozi - for vocal unit and Hoshi for performance
But you'll find out in the guide, haha
(but unofficially officially they have 4! Because Dokyeom (DK) is the leader for BSS)
- So, HHU (a hip hop unit) has some unreleased mixtapes that are not PG-13. You can check it out on their SoundCloud!
- Cheol is the best leader, he always takes care of his members and carats. For example, right now SEVENTEEN has regular monthly meetings with each other because they can get very busy with individual schedules; they even have late and no-show penalties! And Scoups (and other members) are really following the wishes of the Carats; on Wvrs they didn't have subtitles for Lives and one Carat said that to Cheol and he replied that he would look into it. and now we have subs haha.
Recently, Seungcheol often spends time in one online game, where he often arranges fan meetings.
He often acts like a big baby because he is the youngest in his family.
- They're right, Wonwoo is an introvert! But he's really cute! and clever! And funny. And he is a cat!!! and has a very distinct laugh. HA HA HA He has a beautiful singing voice; he has a cover of IU's "Knees". He loves her music. It's funny how HHU often listens to ballads in their car haha. And I really don't know what to add to that.
- I saw a sentence somewhere that best describes Mingyu: "He's like a golden retriever who still thinks he's a puppy and can comfortably sit on your lap." He's big and clumsy, but he's a real jack of all trades! He was on a jungle survival show (I forgot the name of the show) and Mingyu made some tools and traps. That was awesome.
Mingyu is altruistic. And he's kind, the members often poke fun at him (he had a birthday on the 6th and some of the members -heh dk especially- posted funny pictures and videos of him), but he doesn't get mad at them.
Mingyu loves to draw, and he (and seventeen) has done some product designs! They even made their own magazine where Mingyu was the photographer.
oh and Mingyu and Wonwoo have a song called Bittersweet featuring LeeHi
- and finally, Vernon... to be honest, I don't know how best to describe him. He's just him. He is wise, funny, his reactions are the best! sometimes he does something and you just think "why???". I really like his way of thinking. I would like to talk to him. he is like a turtle haha
- they doesn't have a cross over in units, but they have albums and songs where they don't use them. In SEMICOLON they have songs for each line: 95 (Coups, Jeonghan and Joshua), 96 (cat+tiger line Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo and Woozi), 97 (Mingyu, DK and The8) and Maknae (Seungkwan&Vernon 98, Dino 99)
They have duos (like Hoshi Woozi combo) and different groups (International line - Vernon, Joshua, Jun and The8) or like in their song Fronting - hip-hop unit + Hoshi and Woozi.
- and don't worry about pausing the video! (by the way, does the video have captions? It would be nice if it does haha) in a few weeks you will be able to read very fast. Especially if you're going to watch GOING SEVENTEEN, you just need to learn how to do it lol
- oh, if you want to know something about the character of the members, then I want to suggest you episodes 51 and 52, they passed the MBTI and TCI tests there; that was really interesting
(and you always can watch HIT THE ROAD, their documentary. it's a little bit hard to watch for me tbh but it's really show how they working while on the tour and all of that)
- I also wanted to tell you about their dance practices, before they often did a rear (behind) view, don't miss it!

yes, I understand that very well. when I became Carat, I only had 17 Project (their pre-debut show), a couple of interviews and shows, and the first season of One Fine Day to worry about haha

Personally I would tell you to not worry. If you need to pause the video to read or want to go back, do so.
These guides are long, we are prepared to be here for a while, so if you need to stop, I think it is better to do so before losing information.
If in the future you see more of their dance practice's, their choreographies are super interesting to analyze.

Still going through enlistments as an EXO-L, I am so NOT PREPARED for Seventeen. Good news is three (possibly four?) members are exempt and there's one (ish) per line -' 95 line has Joshua (American), '96 line has Jun (Chinese), '97 line has Minghao (Chinese) and maknae line _maybe_ has Vernon. Not sure if Vernon will serve as a duel citizen but either way, by the time we get to maknae line, some of the others will be back.
Oh my gosh...I kind of hope groups would take after BTS (maybe other groups have done it like BTS and I'm just not aware...) and all go as quickly as possible so that by the time the first member comes out the last one is going in? That way it's not spread out over years and years. But that is definitely a benefit of having non Korean citizen members!!! I hadn't even thought of that.
@@SashaMarie I think coordinating schedules for that can be an issue. But yeah having as short a time as possible between OT13 and OT13 is the dream!

16:24 so, yea they do curse but most/all of their cursing songs are unreleased songs (mainly are hiphop unit songs). Which makes their most recent comeback, Fuck My Life, so exciting for carats.
Sidenote: seventeen (hiphop unit) didnt release their diss tracks/mixtapes w/ cursing because they dont want to have a negative impact on carats. I don’t remember the exact reason but it’s something about affecting their fans or having something negative in their discography

this was so fun to watch!! its rlly enjoyable to watch you get into seventeen, and it would be super fun to see going seventeen!! it originally started in 2017 as a behind the scenes for tours and concerts but slowly become honestly one of the best idol variety shows!! the gose (going seventeen) producers and seventeen themselves put a lot of effort into it with cool storyline themes and exciting remakes of old popular korean variety shows!! there are different episodes for different years that can be seperated by theme and series but there are playlists on the seventeen channel that seperate them into year order

Great question! I did album reviews A LOT on my channel before I got sick, and I'm hoping to bring them back slowly. I recently did one for Stray Kids, and I have plans to film one for another group this week, and then do one for the new Seventeen album once that comes out!! So in short TLDR: YES. haha
The truth is that when it comes to reaction, it's much more annoying to skip details in a video than to stop it🥲. Actually we're fine with that, watching seventeen stuff without stopping is not a normal Carat (you're superman). But glad to know you will rewatch it.
