    I think it's simple from one perspective - psychology is solely about ego, or at least the measurable part of the ego.

    It would be super sweet if you did a video breaking down the Lacanian Graph of Desire.

    I love your videos it is so refreshing to be able to watch a video rather than reading sometimes . I’m currently doing an MA in Psychoanalysis and your videos really make me think while I take a break from readings and study 🙂. Hello from Ireland 🍀.

    Mindfulness, growth and all at stuff are so prevalent because it is in capital's best interest to do research on those topics to better instrumentalize people to keep capital growing. It is not interested in helping us understand our sexuality and ourselves, unless someone could profit from it

    First to like and comment.... I like your work. Recently i made video about how psychiatry psychology psychoanalysis understand mental disorder and mental health in modern society and how they look at the person as subject or object. My understanding is that sexuality exists in post oedipus complex time in Neurotic. If it is true that only about 3% in the world are neurotics, nooo wonder that Freud is misunderstood.

    • @rockismylove3
      @rockismylove3 Před 4 lety

      It's not true. Where did you get 3%? Almost all humans are neurotic, so more like 80%.

    • @BGPsychology
      @BGPsychology Před 4 lety

      @@rockismylove3 , maybe 80% or even more if we talk about "Neuroticism" as one of the Big Five personality traits.But im talking about Neurotic structure and not Neuroticism as personality trait. The 3% - two psychoanalysts from IPA on a seminar gave us some numbers, like there are 15 000 psychoanalysts in the world - one of the smallest occupied professions...

    • @rockismylove3
      @rockismylove3 Před 4 lety

      @@BGPsychology Well, I was talking about the neurotic structure as well! Perverts are more rare than neurotics, and psychotics far more rare. If we talk about the Big Five neuroticism trait, on the contrary, as it is operationalized (i hope this is the right word), it's just a vague statistical continuum based on which you can say "a high score of neuroticism", so where do you start reffering to one as a neurotic? And with this model, most people would be in the middle values, and not in the high values, so we would not get from it 80% neurotics in any way.

    Good point. Another interesting question to ask: when we emphasize the advantages of psychoanalysis (like in this video) does this convince anybody? From my (limited) experience you either get Freud's idea/project (and do not need arguments) or you don't get it (and are not convinced by arguments). I didn't meet people who was in one "party" and went to another. Freud's theory cause resistance and psychoanalysts are supposed to be experts in resistance and find other way (not just simple rational argumentation).

    A Dangerous Method isn't really anti-Freud, Cronenberg exalts Freud?

    Today’s psychology is apparently about men in lab coats pensively staring at computer generated images of the Human brain
