I'm sure by now somebody has told you that compression release valves go into the head. They usually put them in there when you're doing a Valve job on the heads. We will be in town on the 5th for a week.

Just some advice from an old EVO mechanic. They need to warm up naturally before you goose the throttle or just take off. You can blow the head caskets on them.

Compression releases for the heads. Best way is to machine them in. There is a model that works with the plugs. High torque starter ultima puts one out. Spike too.

Compression release valves to make the Harley donk turnover a lot easier.Before you get carried away,check that starter motor.If its been sitting for a while,bit of two stoke mix for the guides.

Bob, if it's an older bike the gas pep cocktail is on with tab down. Up is reserve and sideways is off! The blue chopper! One other thing. If its an EVO type motor check the timing to be sure its timed yo the front cylinder. Most people say it doesnt mater and time off back cylinder because its easier. The book for mine (1984) says front or you get what you have. Call if you need more info.

My Buell is only 74 CI 10.5to compression.. when the engine is hot the start stalls it will start, but that's really hard on starters..
It came with a 200 Amp Battery .. I upgraded to a 350 Hybrid Battery. Not it turns it over fast and the started does not bog down almost to a stop..
If you are going to kick start it you have to push the kicker starter though the compression stroke slowly and get it on another stroke where you can build momentum through the compression stroke .. I start big single cylinder 4 stroke dirt bikes like that. If you crack the throttle and it back fires it will break your foot or launch you over the handle bars.. I am not sure of you get a Twin into the sweet spot to kick start from .. Ask the Guy at Wheels through time.
I have only owned 2 motorcycles in my life now that have electric start. The rest are all kickstart only ..

B&T Never having been to a auction your video answered a lot of questions I had. Are all the bikes a crap shoot weather they run or not, Any guarantees by seller or is it buyer beware
Yes, some have contact info to reach the owner, others say in running condition, some say bill of sale only, and for display only
Dont keep turning the throttle when youre trying to start it. The carbs will keep getting flooded.

Make sure you have lock tight, a vicegrip, crescent wrench, Allen wrenches, and a good multi screwdriver when you ride that Evo. Looks like it's really going to vibrate. Enjoy and be safe!

When they loaded it they pushed it up. The long forks were raised. He road it down which had the long forks facing down which caused yhe drag.

First it's a safety can that seals itself up, it's a piece of crap. Secound air cleaner pretty much stops anything out. Lastly, all ways have fire extinguisher near by.

You were foolish buying an old and modified Harley-Davidson. They are real junk. You will have to spend a fortune to get that piece of crap to run right, and even then you will have no reliability. Harleys are slow, unreliable, have bad brakes, bad handling vibrate and are overpriced. Smart people avoid them and the Motor Company is probably going to go out of business in a year or two.
