Super nice - very tastefully done. This is an awesome truck, but we'd appreciate pix of the 360. It sounds great. Very iconic.
A real Midnight Express are VERY RARE! It was a dealer option. They painted it black with gold flake due to the Smoky and the Bandit craze of the day. IDK how many were really made. But they did exist as a dealer option from a certain dealer somewhere. Neat idea.
Pretty sure the square headlights and flat hood came out in 78. Rare, yet awesome truck tho...thanks for the video
No 1979 had the four square headlights and glat hood ,1978 and earlier had two round headlights with the hood with teo indentations
79 and 80 had the squares. And they were dead sexy too. Possibly my favorite of that body style with the 91-93 second.
Square ones were ‘79, tge 78 models had round - these were super cool trucks, the red express and warlock versions as well
most awesome truck ever
definitely!!!
I never was able to get a Midnite or Red Express in 1977. So My brother and I got 2 matching Warlocks from Carlin Dodge in Colorado Springs. We had to wait until they were unloaded from the Transport Truck. In 1990 he Sold me his. So I still have both Warlocks.
My dad has had his since 1979 and retired the truck in 2001 and put it in the yard as a show piece wish he would sell it or restore it back to it's original glory I would if I had the Money too but I put it into restoring his 1969 chevelle and then his 1969 Nova after buying them off him
Beautiful!
They only made the midnight express in 1978. That’s a 1979 or 80 dodge you have there. They changed the grill in 79. Good looking clone though
1978. Only year. Dealer installed option for states that could not sell Lil’ Reds.
nice....
Never seen one of those around here. Little Red Express and Warlock is all ive seen.
Ricky Dyess the midnite express was along the same lines. Not many were made. The warlocks and little reds are more common.
@@SteelSurgeon i just saw a gold Little Red Express on CZcams earlier. Dont know if its factory original or someone put Red Express decals and wood on it
Ricky Dyess I beleive that is a one off custom somebody did. I dont recall that being an option. It looks to be a midnite express or little red painted up that way though it could be just a truck someone built to resemble one.
sorry, but the midnite express was a 440 truck. somethings wrong here
If you notice the headlights too, those are from a '79. The description translated indicates this is a 360 Lil Red Express, that was painted to look like a Midnight Express. People do that a lot because it's a huge sell point.
@@benkleschinsky I have a Lil Red and it's very common for that to happen. I would imagine people paint Lil Reds to look like warlocks too.
Nathan Dial your thinking warlock slick
@@TFfolkes Actually the warlock had a 440 too.
K9ine According to Allpar Warlocks could have anything from slant 6 to 440 with 318 being most common.
Cars back in the 60s and 70s had distinct class as each car manufacturer did their own performance thing to keep the entire automotive industry competitive. Today cars are pretty bland b/c all car manufactures have banded together so consumers have much less choice in their new car purchases.
no such thing as a 1970 slick
Sounds like a tractor
