Big Car Monthly Update

- A sample of the sort of things that Patrons have access to, if you're interested. Are Shorts lucrative? Do people watch them? With the Fiat Uno & Lexus LS getting 26% of the vote, which won out? Plus a deeper dive into the latest videos, what I think of Tesla's full self driving (after having it for 1 day), and my first sponsorship (ARGH!). Don't worry, it's a good one!
Patrons get early ad-free access to new videos (usually a week ahead), and these monthly updates. Levels start at $1 or £1 or €1 a month.

I just want to suggest a video about Smart Roadster Coupe, the 452 chassis 🙂
Thanks for your content!
@@Xenstein Maybe. It would be a pretty short video though!
My first new, as in about 4.5 miles to delivered to me was a second generation Uno 45 in black. A wonderul thing to thrash about in. Never ever underestimate the fun to be had from cheap Italian cars.
Really enjoyed this. It was interesting and well paced. I find your presentation style very engaging. Will be buying a U Gears model!
I passed my driving test in 1988 in a black Fiat Uno 3 door. Still remember the reg number C100 EJA. Nice little car it was, easy to drive.
Good video, in which I learned 3 interesting things. 1. You live in Seattle!! 2. Tesla self driving is cr*p. 3. I may be your target demographic, although that depends how you define ‘old’. Unfortunately Apple TV doesn’t have a Patreon app, but I’ll start watching on a smaller screen. Finally, I watch shorts, but I don’t like videos longer than 30 mins, as it usually means they can’t edit and there’s a lot of repetition!
Building it is the fun part.
I'm a subscriber, love your content, but I'm almost always more than 24 hours behind my subscriptions. So, it's not just casuals here past the 24 hour mark. Also, it's not "you" doing Shorts wrong, it's "CZcams" doing them wrong. I can't just open them up on a second monitor while I work or play a game or something - because they're just going to loop and loop and loop and that's preposterous. So like a lot of CZcams ideas (like "premieres" getting in the way of how I use my Subscriptions page), it's always a matter of CZcams doing CZcams wrong, not creators.
I subscribed to your Patreon a for a few months, then switched to CZcams premium (lite) because I felt I supported the many (other) creators enough. I hope you still get a fair payout since you keep delivering high quality content, I have no idea whether it is comparable to Patreon.
I don't care much for early access or the Patreon update but some people probably will.
I'm a bloke from the Netherlands , great video's , maybe you can make a video over the coming an going of the diesel in cars
That might be interesting to do.
What an interesting video. Great insight into CZcams algorithm too.
That's a law unto itself.
can you do one about the Wartburg Knight please
i have the Morgan model but haven't built it yet. It does look cool though :)
Use that wax, especially at the start, and make sure bits that should move actually move before moving on.
@@LittleCar Will do, thanks :)
I watched the Fiat Uno video while I spent some days in Italy and thought to myself: Let's see how many I'll see, there must be some of the 9 million left. Result: 0 (zero) Uno sightings. I drove about 800 kilometres on small roads and through small villages, but it seems there are not many left.
Wow - they must have rusted away.
Speaking as an old British person, I think that the longer the better 😉
Sorry can,t affort the Patron but like your videos :)
I thought the man behind Big Car/Little Car resides in UK or Australia, but he lives in USA.
I thouht too that he is living in UK.
What? I'm not living in the UK? I'll have to tell Mrs. Big Car! 😉
The You Tube algorithm is working well, old English man here who misses his childhood Leyland cars (and owns a Leyland tee-shirt).
Ah - I've got to get a British Leyland t-shirt!
With reference to shorts. I watch CZcams on an iPad ( as I’m old and English and can’t see a mobile screen too well), so wouldn’t be able to see shorts anyway.
You can get them on the iPad. There's a "Shorts" button at the bottom of the screen.
I love your stuff but I am having to cut back patreon payments. Time is bad. Take care :)
Great content channel. But isn't Patreon pronounced "Pay-Tree-On", like other CZcamsrs say it?
I think I was saying "patrons", who are the people who are on Patreon.
Gotta be honest mate, I mostly put on your videos to fall asleep, which sorta backfires as I want to see the pictures.
Glad to be an alternative to sleeping tablets!
If you wnat to find uno's go to south italy
I actually want to look at the ugear models now.
ugearsmodels.com/
I would rather go for a Volvo E 90 than for aTesla.
Half a steering wheel in a tesla?
That's a Model S with their yoke steering wheel. Not sure it's the right way to go, but I've never tried one.
I care
Sad that your FSD experience is so bad. I've seen many a video where it's quite impressive, though still nowhere near perfect.
There's a lot of Tesla fanboys out there. Every trip I take I have to take over at least once (even a 3 mile trip I took yesterday). It's impressive though.
how about bloopers for shorts?
Maybe, but the portrait format probably won't work as I film in landscape.
@@LittleCar i would have thought in modern editing software there should be a way to swap that around?
@@agamemnom I mean a lot of me would be cut off.
Ooo what a car guy, Tesla, are you kidding me 😂. Best you report on baking.
I never realised you live on the dark side
No - we've got electricity and everything. It's very bright. 😉
Shouldn't a short be about a single fact, a "did you know?", rather than a condensation of the whole video? So, for exampe, your Lexus recall fact that only 95% were recalled because the other 5% had been destroyed by their competitors.
Maybe so. As I say, I don't think they're for me!
Old English men? How very dare you! I'm only 47. And I'm from the west country.
I'm not much older, and I'm already being called old! Oh well....
A reasonable wise decision not to trust too much on Tesla software. Their “accident awoiding” software had killed a couple of motorcyclists and cyclists.
