    You have the best videos for mowing grass. For some reason I really get into it. My wife says I look like a cat watching a bird video. LOL. I'm getting ready to buy my first zero turn and I'm really looking forward to it. The cub cadet zt1 Ultima 42 inch. Thanks for the videos.

    You should always run your mower at full throttle. Air cooled engine require max throttle so they are staying cool enough. Not running at full throttle causes unnecessary stress on the engine.

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  Před 5 lety +1

      Wrong. Show me the manual that says that. Why would there even be a throttle if it HAD to be at full throttle all the time. Been doing it this way for 30 years and never had an engine go. My 500V is 20 years old and runs fine. Many people say what you're saying but it's just based on assumption.

    • @LawnCareV1ds1267
      @LawnCareV1ds1267 Před 5 lety

      My father worked for Briggs & Stratton for many years as a trainer and salesman for their small engines. One of the main points they constantly told other mower companies was to always use full throttle when mowing because of cooling. I mean think about it, in a air-cooled engine, if it is running at a higher RPM it will cause more air to be forced over the cylinders thus having a higher cooling affect. Plus why wouldn't you run it at max throttle? you don't even get the full power out of the engine especially with all the high yards you cut and its just putting more strain on the engine. Your 500v has lasted so long simply because its a kawi. and i assume you take good care of your equipment. You can beat the shit out of any kawi engine and they last. Not trying to say you don't know what your doing by any means. I guess we just have different opinions haha. love the vids

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  Před 4 lety +1

      That's the Craftsman wide cut 33" mower, but they don't make it anymore. Cub Cadet owns the design now and you want the Cub Cadet CC 800. I have one of those too. About $1300. Here it is mowing - czcams.com/video/RuKhYq3itf4/video.html

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  Před 6 lety

      You can blow off 6 houses, with average size driveways and sidewalks. But the recharge can be done on your lunch break, only about 20 minutes. But the biggest drawback is that it can't get wet. I leave it home on rainy days.

    • @hilham89
      @hilham89 Před 6 lety

      This is a 35hp engine I believe and they go through fuel like there's no tomorrow so even on lawns like this there's really no need for full power and also they make a hell of a noise so to keep neighbours happy this is a decent option

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  Před 6 lety +2

      Yes, it is a gas hog and wide open sucks the gas down, with no reason to be at full power. Also, where I throttled it way down it would have thrown grass about 20 feet into the neighbor's yard.
